  1. As I was flipping through channels last night, I caught someone saying that Sterling actually has some portion of the Clipper in his family trust, which might mean its more difficult for the league to get him to sell, since "him" is actually his family.
  2. Yeah, but Zaidman is probably the most chatty guy I've ever heard, and gets going on stuff & then just doesn't stop. If you listen long enough, you'll probably hear just about every possible opinion at some point. Sometimes he's cool to listen to for awhile, but I wouldn't put a lot of stock in many of the things he says.
  3. Dang it, I couldn't make it through. Fell asleep on the couch. At one point MTL was surviving on a combination of Price's awesome saves and then just pure luck. That one where the puck was heading into the net at an angle, then the spin on the puck curved it away from the net was insane. BOS outshot them by nearly 20. Then MTL wins it anyway. Oh, hockey.
  4. It is going to go one of two ways: A) A very long protracted process where the NBA sticks to its guns but Sterling manages to pit multiple groups against one another in a bidding war, using the threat of lawsuit against the NBA to force it to help drive up the price. B) A very long protracted process where the NBA waits for the heat to die down and then allows for some sort of transfer of ownership from Sterling to his heirs. Ick. Next year is likely to be very strange in Clipper-land.
  5. I wonder how that would play out, if Sterling is able to block the NBA from forcing him to sell. Would the NBA then remove the Clippers from the league, and then re-sell the franchise rights to another ownership group?

Because he has a whole bunch of PAs since then with less than that, and because those came with an unusually high BABIP. Yeah, but we have reason to suspect that a good portion of the PA's that came after were under a manager/coaching staff who were making changes to his approach -- which has since been abandoned.
  7. What does one talk about when Cubs baseball doesn't matter? Cubs baseball when it did matter.
  8. Wild announcers were saying that they've used like 4 goalies this year. It's been more of a rotation than anything else. It looks like Kuemper was the best of the bunch, but I'd still be surprised if the Wild hang in this series because of stellar goalie play. Although, stranger things have happened.
  9. Yeah, the luck finally reversed on the Avs last night. Wild paid them back almost exactly, with the late goal to tie it and then the OT winner. The only thing missing was getting the equalizer with the goalie pulled.
  10. COL goes from the hot new team to GONE, just like that. Sharks crap out. Both lose at home. That's marvelous
  11. Man, NHL playoffs are a lot of fun
  12. Wild tie it!
  13. Hey, one of the KKK's Super Dragons or whatever the [expletive] was just caught with a black male hooker; even racists lust for forbidden fruit. Hah, awesome
  14. And now the Wild pulled their goalie due to injury
  15. They've been battling uphill all night. Looking like Hawks/Avs
  16. Bye, philly
  17. I guess I'm rooting for the Wild tonight although after watching the Avs, I don't think the reality matches a lot of the hype I've been hearing
  18. Basketball is his best sport based on what I've heard, so it's not a surprise that he puts together a decent article on the Bulls. Still, reading through this it isn't really his best work. He sounds disappointed here just like the rest of us. It's not really insightful, it simply tells it like it is. Which is really all there is to tell right now.
  19. LOL, that kind of stuff is all over the place this week. It's amazing to me how pervasive these attitudes still are, in 2014. That and this maddening idea that people should be able to say whatever they want and everyone just has to sit there with a smile on their face and nod their heads in agreement, or something. 'Cuz after all, free speech dude. It's written in the constitution.
  20. This whole idea of Sterling being punished: OK, yes I guess he is being punished. But not in the same way that an average joe employee would be punished by being fired. He stands to be forced to sell his franchise at a massive profit. He stands to be fined pennies compared to his wealth.
  21. Or maybe a public service announcement. Something. It's clear that a huge part of the country has no idea what the first amendment is.
  22. you need to get off whatever feed you are on. Those people live in a bizzaro world. Yeah, there are some clowns I friended and they've made me regretful pretty much ever since. Read the comments section on the CNN article. I dare ya.
  23. I'm getting all kinds of crap on my feed and everywhere else about how unjust this is towards Sterling, and I'm just like.......BUH?!?
  24. Wouldn't that be a forfeiture of the game? How does that not hurt the players just as much as Sterling?
