    The article itself is kind of uncharacteristically modest by North's standards. He's actually careful to qualify his stuff rather than just going balls-out like he usually does. I forgot his whole Janikowski thing, LOL. What I do remember is his months-long rant against the firing of Dick Jauron.

    Really don't like much of anything that I've seen about Ego Ferguson. The little video I've seen is sketchy at best. He doesn't really clog much of anything, gets pushed around a lot. For a run stuffer what I saw didn't look impressive. And absolutely no pass rush potential at all. Just an awful lot of negatives associated with his game to spend that 2nd rounder. I would rather have just taken a chance on Nix's knee, and transition to the 4-3 defense. I like his talent and ceiling much, much better. I know the Bears weren't the only team to pass on Nix. At the end of the day I would feel much more comfortable knowing we had Nix & Sutton coming on board, than Ego & Sutton. I hope I'm dead wrong on this, and Ego develops into a solid player. If anyone here watched a lot of LSU football and wants to shoot me down, by all means please do.

    It's pretty frustrating to watch some of these calls. I like Brenly's idea of umps going back to the huge shield pad they used to have because they're pretty awful at calling pitches outside to lefties when they're hiding on the inside corner. Rizzo's gotten screwed on a couple pitches at least 6 inches outside this past week. Or, you know, just use the technology available and go to automated ball/strike calls That would be nice, but I just don't think that's happening anytime soon. I know, but we need to keep up the fight

    I disliked the Ego & Carey picks more than O'Donnell. Ego especially.

    big dude, big leg...but yea, he better be really good if you're going to waste a pick on him. He should be able to brush Podlesh aside without any problems. At least there's that. I don't need to see Podlesh punt for the Bears again. Podlesh is already gone. The big question is what happens to Butthead Jr. Ahh, my bad. Didn't realize that he was gone.
