It's fun bad at this point. I'm almost apathetic, I hate giving up on coaches but I'm done with Hoke. They just said it's ridiculous to think he'd be fired. I can't remember this level of catastrophe turning around for a coach.

I guess I never thought to lay the Bears' running woes at the feet of de la Puente. I would have thought lack of Slauson is more accurate. Ola is terrible, I think we all know that. They need to replace Garza soon anyway -- seems to me it's a good time to keep someone else in there if he's doing OK.

Coming in everyone said if we could be an average defense, or least least a decent improvement over last years disaster, we could be a contender. So far, its played above average. I am not sure if yards allowed is a more accurate predictor of future performance than points allowed (although logically it makes sense to me), but even with some regression we are looking good. Everyone said that with the assumption that the offense would be healthy and among the league's best.

You're right. We should look at it as we did when the schedule came out in July. Not as teams that have greatly struggled in 2/3 of the actual games played so far. come on man you know i was joking

Well, you say "gets to", but if that is true then it would be more like "feels forced to", and that's no good. And it's not like the world's biggest douches haven't been tied to beautiful celebrities before. And some of the world's biggest in-the-closet gays too.

Upcoming Schedule: Green Bay @ Carolina @ Atlanta Miami @ NE Bye @ Green Bay After that, it starts to look better. But this upcoming stretch is going to be challenging to say the least. I'm hoping the Packers aren't going to be much better than their 1-2 start, but my gut tells me they'll improve. Shame on the schedulers for packing so many road games into our first half.

Well, maybe you are right. I didn't say it, but my thinking is stupid Packers rivalry rightly or wrongly, and wanting to at least see if he can go for that reason. Even though it's really not a great reason if he's really injured. He's already been playing when he probably shouldn't have.

this again? Yes, he had some bright shiny moments, but his health very clearly limited him in that game. The fact he scored touchdowns on very short fields does not change the other fact that he is very banged up and it has affected his play. Those three TD should have absolutely no influence on the decision to play or rest him this week. He's banged up and it has gotten worse. I already said the question is his effectiveness, so why don't you stop with this nonsense? Or are you just in a bad mood (again)? Because you are somehow acting as if his effectiveness has not been affected and that 3 TD in SF is at all meaningful to the discussion. So the game is to take one sentence out of context and ignore the larger point?
