  1. road game lost by 21 at home defense didnt force a punt all last game I know the panthers have a ton of issues with injuries, suspensions and poor play too but I don't think its insane that they are favored. they did just destroy the 3-1 Lions a couple of weeks ago (albeit followed up with 2 crappy performances) Looking at it I think should be more like a pick 'em. But after last week my confidence in the Bears -- both offensively and defensively -- is pretty shaken up. I'm sure Carolina fans are feeling the same right now after being the only team to get blown out by the Patriots a couple weeks back.
  2. Plus DTV used to hand out 3 month customer loyalty freebies for things like HBO and the Sports Package. That was a really nice extra that they stopped doing.
  3. Would be VERY nice to start getting our actual football team back. Not holding my breath but I'm all for it
  4. I think they have found the price point where people won't be so eager to go higher. It went from $120 - $300 from the early 2000s to late 2000s but it has held steady the past few years after several people dumped or threatened to dump on the last price bump. I'm considering dropping DTV. I can pay it, and I like DTV in general, but I did some math on the expense. This year I will miss around 6 Bear games without NFLST. Give or take a game. I think ST with the extras is $350 or something like that. So I'm paying ~$60 for each of those 6 games. Yes, I know you get more with ST but let's face it, I'm paying for those 6 games because I wouldn't buy the thing if it wasn't for the Bears. And I'm moving to a new house, right down the street from a BW3. The first step though is to call them and say I'm leaving. See what they do to try to keep me. Been a customer for 15 years.
  5. Makes sense. Good division, with no teams under .500 and the Bears lost a home game in the division. That can swing things in a big way. Yep, I agree with that. Also I can't remember who but someone had predicted this before the season started and we all (myself included) thought he was crazy. Guess not.
  6. This is EXACTLY the kind of thread we need around here. It's a sandwich.
  7. After the first drive me hopes were high. After GB's first drive they dropped off quite a bit. And after the half ended I thought they blew their chance to stay in the race. By halftime I was cringing for the inevitable hammer blow.
  8. Cam isn't anywhere near Rodgers' level. I had to look up what he's doing this year. It was kind of surprising to see some of his #'s: pretty good completion percentage. 9 completed throws over 20 yards. Only 3 TD passes though, probably relying on the running game alot down by the goal line. Still though, I'll have to see him beat us like a rag doll like Rodgers did before I believe it. HUGE knock on wood. I wasn't saying he's as good as Rodgers. I was saying that most NFL QBs will pick apart a basic ass zone. Hence, the following sentence about Manuel, who completed 73% of his passes against a Bears D that got very little pass rush and sat in zone coverage all day. If you want to call out Tucker I've saved a spot for you.
  9. Nah he usually stays away for a day or two to sober up.
  10. Ryan Braun 2012, Before Roidal bust: 108 R, 191 H, 36 2B, 41 HR, 112 RBI (2 off his career high), .319 BA, .391 OBP (close to career high), .498 SLG .987 OPS 356 TB (career high) Ignoring 2013... Ryan Braun 2014, After Roidal bust: 68 R, 141 H, 30 2B, 19 HR, 81 RBI (33 off his career high), .266 BA, .324 OBP (career low), .453 SLG (career low), .777 OPS (easily career low) 240 TB (career low) It's a blatant baseball-reference rip job, yes. I just want to make sure it's recorded here somewhere. Suck it Braun.
  11. Cam isn't anywhere near Rodgers' level. I had to look up what he's doing this year. 12. Without pressure, it was basically 7-on-7 for Rodgers against that zone. The few blitzes called were incredibly predictable and easily picked up. Some creativity was needed. Not even just blitzes. Stunt. Stand a guy up just to throw [expletive] off. Throw some different looks in there. How much was Houston on the interior with a 3rd DE in there? Not that any of the 3 CBs played well, but I would have liked to seen Jennings on Cobb in the slot more and Fuller on Nelson more. Hopefully, they would have won more battles that way and you could have at least forced Rodgers to throw to his 3rd Wr on Frey on the outside. This goes back to January, and I'm really pissed and frustrated right now.
  13. Pretty sure the defense deserves more blame than basically "well, Aaron Rodgers is just too great." The Packers, and Rodgers specifically, have looked VERY vulnerable dating back to last season and the Bears singlehandedly allowed them to look like worldbeaters again. This is true. I know this comment is a few hours old but I couldn't agree more. Of course Rodgers is a great QB everyone knows that. When you put lack of pressure plus a banged up secondary against him it's going to be a catastrophe.
  14. They really do. What's going wrong?
  15. Agreed. It's hurting my enjoyment of football though. I hate feeling like every meaningful play is waiting for the flag. I don't remember it being this bad. And many of these calls are shaky as hell at best, flat-out wrong at worst.
  16. Bears do play Brady and Brees too. Not quite in their prime like Rodgers but if this is the pass rush those will be long days also
  17. Well that's not an INT but why is TO charged? Really? Yes. I can't keep up with all this crap Don't you remember all the controversy with Schwartz and the Lions a few years ago? No, I'm blowing it here. Sorry :)
  18. Why am I still watching?
  19. Well that's not an INT but why is TO charged? Really? Yes. I can't keep up with all this crap
  20. Hell I didn't know? Are you saying these constant rule tweaks should be easy to follow? Because the refs are blowing them every week.
  21. Well that's not an INT but why is TO charged?
  22. So bad I don't have a clue how to fix it. They simply do not know what they are doing out there.
  23. Finally saw what Ryan Braun REALLY is without cheating too.
  24. It was over before that so whatever.
