    Clowney had himself a game and Jimmy didn't like it one bit. I don't watch much 9er football, but i wonder if he's been facing a lot of pressure like that. Probably not. He didn't handle it well. I was pleased to discover that it's not just the Bears who lose games due kicker problems.

    This has been one of the best regular season weeks in the NFL in a very long time. Lots of great, well-played games. Yeah, a great finish to it too. Been a long time since MNF made me stay up past my bedtime.

    Driskel is fast enough that he can simply run out of the pocket when he can’t find an open guy, and it’ll be plenty good enough to beat the Bears. Probably something like 13–7 or 17- 10 Lions.

    Honorable mention, Illini score 27 in the 4Q to beat Sparty on the road.

    Why doesn't Mitch run any more? That was such a big part of his game last year. He's never going to be a pocket passer. When he got into trouble he'd just run, and at times last year I thought he was driving defenses crazy with that. He ran twice yesterday. Not that it's going to make him a great QB, but if Nagy's really trying to get the most out of him you'd think he would know that's missing compared to last year and do something about it.

    non-story. the astros bullpen has been great all year. Good job smoltz shutting this non-story down. Does anyone do more than Joe Buck to make baseball unappealing to anyone under 70? I’m sure it will be debated as if putting in Cole would have automatically shut the Nats down.

    Oh man if the Stros don’t come back they’re going to have RISP nightmares all offseason.

    Nats will win the next 2 to take it, making this an all road-win series.

    OK, but if you give Pace/Nagy another shot and it doesn't happen until 2021, then we're talking about giving the whole thing until what, 2022, 2023? That seems like a reasonable period to let the new setup burn in, but it's a long time to wait to find out if you are a fan. When does the merry-go-round end - we are always caught in this cycle where coaches don't have their players, or GMs don't have their coaches. Or QBs don't have their offense. Someone has to succeed in spite of all that or we're never going to bust through. I don't have the answer but I think other teams do figure this out one way or another, and I'm sick of seeing the Bears fail at this over & over.

    Well Nagy’s explanation is that they know we are running so it would either be a fumble or a loss. So that’s his equation. It doesn’t include actually succeeding. He also laughed off the suggestion of a throw. The man is out of his league. Wrong hire.

    I don’t like the idea of giving a general manager a second bite at the apple on drafting a franchise quarterback. He screwed it up the first time, he’ll screw it up again. So I don’t know where the great Bears quarterback comes from, but I don’t think it’s going to come from Pace via the draft.

    It doesn’t seem like a very valid thought process. It’s not like he’s eliminating the risk by not running another play. There is still the greater risk of missing a longer field goal.

    I really don’t know what to be pissed off at the most. I feel a general hatred for this entire franchise right now

    With both the Lions and Vikings better than the Bears this year, soon the local affiliates will start getting those games instead of the Bear games. I can’t see myself heading to the local bar to see this team so I don’t have to endure this much longer. Woe unto you who live in the home city because I know how it is. If they’re on, you can’t resist.

    I’m not going to defend Mitch but you act like there’s hidden QB talent on the sidelines or something and you know darn well there isn’t. There’s not but you can count on Daniels to not just spontaneously drop the ball. I’m not so sure. But anyway, bench Trubisky. I don’t need to see him again. It’s just a crapfest at QB no matter what as per usual.
