  1. They finally brought pressure at the end and it worked. I don’t get it either.
  2. They might lose out, but I’ll be an optimistic and say they go 1-3. I’ll give a little credit. Mitch made some great throws down the stretch.
  3. COULD HE BE DUMBER?!?!
  4. I’m done with this iteration of the Bears, from Pace all the way down. It’s doubly painful that we’ll watch this for another entire season.
  5. Yeah that’s just stupid.
  6. They’re sleepwalking. You’re supposed to have turkey after the game.
  7. Where’s the pressure?
  8. Yeah, even though he had a rating in the 60's. I thought he looked as good as good as he has at any point in his career on Sunday. The INTs were whatever. Redzone INT can't happen, but it took a great play by the LB. The deep ball INTs never bother me. Sucked that there was a 50-yard return of it, but if you're going to throw picks, best time to do it is on a deep shot. I've seen criticism of the TD pass to Robinson for being short, but that was a layup pass (that he has missed before) and who cares that it was ugly, he scored. Even the RZ INT didn't bother me that much. Like, yea it sucks, but at this point, if Mitch is being aggressive and is throwing the ball past 10 yards past the LOS or more, I'm okay with some inevitable INT. Maybe I'm giving him an unfairly low bar to cleae, but that's it for me at this juncture. It's a low bar but that's the standard he could conceivably meet at this point. I hate the drops though. I'd like to see how he'd look without those.
  9. Third rounder, 74th overall, I think bust is a bit strong. He's serviceable. He's not a difference maker but nobody thought he would be. A better line probably changes things for him. Also would be helpful if the passing game was a threat to make it harder to stack against him. A couple times yesterday I felt like posting he's a bust. We'll see. I'm doubtful he'll be around for much longer.
  10. The problem I have with that call is that I see the Packers do it all the time and it isn’t a penalty.
  11. The player drafted would probably grade out 3rd round.
  12. Uhh, stop targeting 82
  13. You had to say it didn’t you.
  14. LOL. Some random guy in FCS makes that catch 100%
  15. Bears put together one decent drive but miss one too many FG’s and lose, which we discover upon waking up from our afternoon naps. 13-10 Giants.
  16. No I don't think Pace should or will get another HC hire. I'd guess ownership will be conservative and give both guys another year at the helm. So if that's what you're factoring into the 3-3 years that makes sense, but it shouldn't take 2-3 years because Pace and Nagy probably shouldn't be back at this point, IMO. Even if they do an overhaul this offseason, the next group isn't going to try and patch things with the current roster. They'll have an opportunity to tear it down and start fresh, which makes the 2-3 years a possible 4.
  17. Well, Nagy talked at length about it, said he asked Mitch to be honest about how he was feeling and then Mitch said he was hurt. Mitch could hardly answer the questions straight and was avoiding all eye contact. I'm almost never one to go full conspiracy theory, but I'm going full hog wild. The PR team is trying to protect Nagy. I just can't figure out why Mitch is also falling on the sword for him. Absolutely best case is that Mitch did tweek something, but it was not an injury you'd pull a guy for a Nagy used that as a weak pretext to do so. Mitch didn't play that great (I'd probably put it as slightly better than the GB game), but it was not a "pull the starter" performance. Can the trainers / medical staff lie about it? Come back with an injury diagnosis that isn't true?
  18. I don't buy it. Well, Nagy talked at length about it, said he asked Mitch to be honest about how he was feeling and then Mitch said he was hurt.
  19. Oy I should be doing what the rest of the country did about an hour ago but no, I’m an idiot.
  20. That option call a couple series back is still pissing me off. Collinsworth blaming it all on Mitch without pointing out how terrible a call it was doubly pisses me off.
  21. It may be close right now, but this could get ugly really fast. The bears are getting destroyed on both lines of scrimmage.
  22. It’s one thing to miss on quarterback but Pace can’t even find a horsefeathering kicker.
  23. Oh my God I don’t care how they do it but this needs to be his last game as a Bear.
  24. Yeah, looks like back the drawing board at PK. That’s 6 points off the board, can’t have it.
  25. I’m sure they can punish them now, but it’s too hard to do anything about the results of the 2017 season (if that’s what you are asking). For example, what if the Dodgers were doing something too? They sure aren’t going to admit it.
