    What do we chalk Hill's abnormally low run support to? Coincidence, anomaly -? Players get bored watching him pitch so they can't hit? It's really much lower than anyone else.

    Lou gets a kick out of lying to the fans. He wants 8 midgets that walk all the time. FALSE Murton is the team's starting LF. FALSE Wood will pitch today. FALSE Lou is a liar and a bad manager. Dud he's not a liar and a bad manager. I've been known for some feats of hyperbole but that one takes the cake.

    Which is foolish. Kerry Wood is a much better pitcher than anyone we have in our pen. If you don't trust him, he doesn't need to be in Chicago. Wood's stuff still makes a guy like Howry look like a bush-leaguer. Between him & Marmol, there's nothing else in that bullpen on the same planet.

    Yeah I don't get it. That 8th inning would have been the perfect spot for Wood, IMO. You're not going to get much of a "softer landing" than a 4-run lead with 2 out & 1 on.

    From 2nd? No way. He was pretty far up the line when Sele caught it since Wright was nowhere near the base. I can't really blame Jacque for not taking the chance considering we're up 4 and Soriano is on deck, but he would've made it. I dunno, I mean the pitcher looked him back and Reyes can easily make a throw home from 2nd. He was moving back towards 3rd... Maybe he would have made it.

    Wow we really could have used even 1 run there. I know it's only been Alou and nothing else, but I dunno I think these Mets are capable of the comeback.
