This is isnt a dump lineup, its the best lineup they can put out there against a lefty right now, with Theriot needing a break, and Kendalls hand still swollen. There's a component of desperation here, and well who can blame Lou? We hit lefties about as good as a little league team. Lou's struggling about as mightily as he can against that trend, because it will wind up being the death of our season if it continues. yay, another double play. this is crap.

That's a heck of a lot of things that need to be happening, and isn't, for a team trying to win a division. Yep, the Cubs suck at pitching, and they suck at hitting. Which direction would you say they are likely to take in the standings?

Well, I still want them to make it but I'm having a hard time seeing it. Even when they win it's by overcoming some real bad baseball in the early innings. It's just a real struggle for this team right now. I'm not seeing how that changes down the stretch. Just trying to be realistic here. This is not a good baseball team. -

I am beginning the annual process of shrouding my Cubs disappointment in a cloak of Bears excitement. It's a mental thing I do. Keeps me from going out and shooting small animals. And throwing furniture.

Yours is a much sillier statement. So it is not bullying to point out someone's faults and then making a spectacle of them? Showing that you dislike someone's actions is easy enough in more constructive ways. Don't go to the game, ignore the action altogether, write concerned letters. What purpose does booing have? Alright then, what purpose does cheering have? Write letters of appreciation instead.

I also enjoy seeing Michigan completely falling out of the top 25. if Michigan really kill Oregon, I can see the stupid voters bringing them right back to the low teens again Dixon is going to be even harder to handle than that dude from A State. Michigan is going down again. Michigan won't lose this week. I would be absolutely stunned. Not saying they're great, but they'll win this week. If they don't then it's really over. I think they will win, but I'm not totally sure of it either after App State. I was thinking that under the same conditions (1st game, I-AA Champs App State, team not expecting a fight) that some of the teams Michigan just fell behind in the polls would have lost, too.
