  1. Horrible decision by the QB to throw the ball away. On 4th down in that situation, you have to try something even if it's picked.
  2. Ya'll looked significantly better than the last couple of times I watched you (ND and OSU games). Tennessee played pretty bad, but Penn State looked greatly improved.
  3. Tennessee falls apart on the final offensive drive of the game, turnover on downs. Penn State ball with under two minutes to go and two timeouts. Still 20-10.
  4. It was Todd Blackledge. I agree with you that they should have kicked the field goal, but would have been very tempted to go for it. UT hadn't proven we could stop Tony Hunt consistently and a TD probably is the ballgame mentally for the Vols.
  5. I can honestly say I have never seen anything like it.
  6. 3 turnovers by Tennessee today, 0 for Penn State. If we lose, there's a huge reason why.
  7. Penn State field goal was blocked! Still tied at 10, 11 minutes to go. UT ball near the 50.
  8. Now 14-7. extra point good
  9. WVU/GT tied at 7 and GT QB just hit Calvin Johnson to the WVU 3. Late in the first. EDIT: touchdown Georgia Tech. 13-7 pending the extra point.
  10. 10-10 heading to the fourth. We haven't played well, but still have a good shot at winning this thing.
  11. Ainge looking much better this half. Just got to stop making drive-killing mental mistakes. That wasn't a catch by Briscoe sadly.
  12. That was a ridicoulous roughing the passer call on Turk McBride. He didn't even knock the QB down. Disgusting.
  13. Awesome TD run by LaMarcus Coker. Keeping us in this game. He's going to be great.
  14. UT running game is actually having some success today. I had written them off for the year.
  15. If you're talking about Hefney's fair catch, I don't think the team is very focused today. Not sure what the problem is, but we're making mental mistakes left and right. Yeah, I was. I can understand going back a yard or two, but he went back inside the 5. Yeah, it was dumb and I think Fulmer let him know that. We just don't seem focused today. Hopefully we'll figure out that there's a game going on before it's over.

  17. Thought that field goal by Wilhoit was no good. Whew. We really need Bret Smith though, Briscoe ran the wrong route.
  18. Same situation for the Titans, if we had played a little better defense against Matt Cassel we're in the playoffs.
  19. Well this wont take long then will it, i say it BEFORE they win. The ACC does suck, Wake aint no great shakes and you know it. The ACC champ game was awful. Wake appears to have a very solid D, so if the 'ville can put some points up that will be a nice. Wake's offense is pretty average at best, and the QB doesnt strike any fear in anybody. If the 'ville can get a nice lead early they may run away with this one. I know and it's a no win situation for Louisville and all the Big East teams for that matter. West Virginia gets stuck win Georgia Tech and Rutgers gets K-State. If they lose there is the "see, I told you they weren't any good" argument and if they win then there is the argument I stated above. If WVU beats Georgia Tech I'll give them their due. The Tech D is stout, so especially if WVU racks up the points, I'll give them even more credit. Rutgers on the other hand, bright as their future is, I can't give them credit for beating KState. It's simply not that impressive. If they do next year what they did this year, it'll mean much more than one game against KState. Unfortunately, Steve Slaton is questionable for the Gator Bowl. Saw that earlier today, it's unfortunate. Maybe Pat White will take the opportunity to try to prove he can actually win a game throwing the ball a little. Or they could just run the option with Owen Schmitt, he's not Slaton but he's decent.

  21. You really shouldn't rule out the Cubs that quickly. :D
  22. Are you kidding me? You are basing this off of one game. Look at the stats on the year. 10 of the 16 AFC teams had records of 4-0 or 3-1 against the NFC this year and two others had records of 2-2. Only 1 NFC team (Dallas) had a record over .500 against the AFC this year while 8 had records of 2-2. New Orleans went 1-3. So did Philly and the NY Giants. Chicago and Seattle both went 2-2. That means the six NFC playoff teams went 8-14 against the AFC. The six AFC playoff teams? Try 21-3. The Bears played even with New England at New England with Rex having an awful game. I don't think it's a stretch to say the Bears are right there with Indy and New England. The Jets and Chiefs are really not that good. New Orleans and Philly have certainly played better than both of them over the course of this year. Seattle and Dallas are right there with them. But who else? Denver? No better than any 8-8/7-8 NFC team. Cincy and Jacksonville? Most inconsistent teams in the league. Tennessee? Not a very good team, just a very fortunate team. NFC playoff teams have a combined 10-14 record against the AFC teams they played and have outscored said opponents by a total of 4 points. AFC playoff teams have a combined 21-3 record against the NFC teams they played and have outscored said opponents by a total of 314 points. Also, NFC playoff teams have a combined 59-37 overall record while AFC playoff teams have a combined 69-27 overall record. I don't see how it's even a debate that the AFC is significantly better than the NFC.
  23. Field goal's good and the niners beat the Broncos. If the Titans had won, we'd be headed to the playoffs. Dang it.
  24. Especially if they went on to win the Super Bowl.
  25. Yes.
