  1. Standard scoring, non-PPR: Leshoure v Min Choice v NE Different league, same scoring, pick 2: Morris @ TB Cobb v NO Tate v Ten Leshoure v Min
  2. Unreal.
  3. I didn't even see Kevin Smith on the field Sunday. I was pretty thrilled to see LeShoure do what he did (despite it being against the Titans) since I started him in two leagues. Everything I've read on him was that the Lions desperately wanted him back from suspension because he'd get every opportunity to be the feature back and get the bulk of the carries. I'd definitely consider him a quality starter going forward.
  4. Had they kicked the field goal there, I think chances are very high they'd have lost. The Titans have an awful defense and were struggling to even slow down the Lions' run game. Mikel Leshoure, in his first NFL game, rushed for over 100 yards and the Lions were winning at the point of attack all day. On the other side of the ball, the Titans were moving the ball pretty well and had just marched down the field and kicked a field goal. We also have one of the more reliable kickers in the game (despite him missing a couple yesterday). Had the Lions gone for that 4th and inches and got it, I have little doubt they'd have won the game. And I also have very little doubt that had they just gone for the first down, they'd have gotten it. The best move would have been going for it, kicking the field goal immediately would have been an ok decision, but the decision to try to draw the Titans offside before kicking it was a bad one, I think.
  5. you'll smoke us. Depends on how the season goes. I don't think Tennessee will blow out Missouri period, but I do think Tennessee might be better. If the season goes poorly, though, Mizzou may demolish us.
  6. That was an awful overturn. The ball might have touched the ground, but I don't think it did. In no way was that conclusive evidence of an incomplete pass.
  7. That was really annoying.
  8. Titans doing absolutely everything they can to lose this game. I hate sports.
  9. Struggling against Akron was pretty embarrassing, so I'd really appreciate a good showing (win please) against Georgia. I'm afraid we have to beat at least one of UGA/Bama/South Carolina/Missouri for Dooley to keep his job. If he's fired, this program will derail pretty badly, I think (moreso than it already has).
  10. If you mean kick the ball sky high and have a defender challenge the receiver for the kick, doesn't the halo still apply if the kick hasn't touched the ground? Does the halo apply to kickoffs or only punts? I've never seen a kickoff return man challenged for the catch, so I don't know.
  11. At least you made it 2 weeks. Tennessee got into the top 25 and then immediately crapped out in the second half against an inferior Florida team. Fun stuff. I'm willing to admit that UF is just average, but worse than Tenn? Really? Not considerably so, but we pretty well controlled the first two and a half quarters of the game. We fell flat on our face from about the middle of the third on, but I do think Tennessee is a little bit better team than Florida. It's nitpicking, though, since I agree that neither team is better than average overall.
  12. he's really not a bad coordinator, either. I agree. I've always liked Martz as a coordinator.
  13. Titans actually look like an NFL team today. Kinda shocking. I also really like Mike Martz as a color guy. He's actually pretty informative.
  14. I didn't think the Titans could lose games they weren't scheduled to play, but maybe they're that bad this season. Haha, oops.
  15. At least you made it 2 weeks. Tennessee got into the top 25 and then immediately crapped out in the second half against an inferior Florida team. Fun stuff.
  16. So apparently CJ is blaming the offensive line entirely for the Titans being completely incapable of running the football. Last year I thought it was a combined effort to reach the awfulness we had, but the first two games this year have looked entirely on the offensive line. So I agree with CJ, but he probably shouldn't have said it. Titans will probably lose and lose bad today. Stafford vs our defense is a terrifying thought.
  17. My guess is the Friedman/Theo/Cashman/etc upper echelon of GMs don't put any stock into the postseason awards, but the majority of GMs are still more of the traditional variety and, thus, really like the labeled players - "leadoff hitter", "all-star", "gold glover", "closer", etc. A gold glove for Barney is something I think Theo could take advantage of. I still think the gold glove helps even if he's marketed as a SS (probably the smart thing to do). Other teams would see that he's been playing second basically his entire time in Chicago and would have questions whether he can be a full-time defensive SS. If he wins the GG, it makes the argument a bit easier (to the GMs who value those awards) market him as a great defender and, thus, a guy who can make the transition well to SS.
  18. Haha, yeah I really didn't intend to do that, but I got Bradshaw at a decent value (I thought) and then Wilson was floating around at the end of the draft so I grabbed him. Then I immediately grabbed Brown after Bradshaw was declared out. I'm not starting Brown, though. I'll either start Lynch if I make the trade or take a gamble with Leshoure since he's playing the Titans and both Ridley and Battle (two rather unimpressive RBs) have gone off on us.
  19. Not a sit/start question, but figured this was the best place to put this: I may have an opportunity to trade Demaryius Thomas for Marshawn Lynch. I may be overrating Demaryius or underrating Lynch, but I'm not sure I want to do it. Thoughts? My relevant team: RB: CJ, Bradshaw, Leshoure, Ryan Williams, Roy Helu, Andre Brown, David Wilson WR: Julio Jones, Mike Wallace, Thomas, Kenny Britt, Robert Meachem, Mike Williams
  20. I'm happy about that for two reasons: 1) It's a neat honor for Barney and well-deserved. 2) If the Theo regime does choose to trade/shop Barney, being able to market him as a "gold glove second baseman" does nothing but increase his value.
  21. I thought guys who were traded (Demp and Anibal in your post) couldn't be qualified.
  22. It's way too early to actually make this comparison, but the Titans have the potential for a Patriots-esque level of productivity at TE if both Cook and Taylor Thompson develop like they can.
  23. Wow, I knew they targeted him a good amount against New England but had no idea he didn't pass block at all. If Cook could just get consistent, he could be one of the best receiving TEs in the game.
  24. Jared Cook @ SD Jermaine Gresham v Cle Cook's the more dynamic player, but Gresham has the better matchup. Locker's injury also has me a bit concerned. Also, in my crappy league: Luck v Minnesota Alex Smith v Detroit Leaning toward Luck, if for no other reason than upside.
  25. Stafford @ SF Peyton @ ATL This is a tough one. I'm leaning toward Stafford since I drafted him higher, but Peyton sure looked like the Peyton of old Sunday night.
