  1. They do have a crappy lineup, and they do have a crappy pitching staff. But just like in 2006, it's not stopping them from outperforming those pesky little facts. How come we never have any years like that? 1998's about as close as we've come to something like that. I think the 98 team was a good bit better than this Cardinal team, though.
  2. Akili Smith? He was drafted by the Bengals (I think in the McNabb draft) and quickly busted out. He was terrible in the NFL and, to the best of my knowledge, is now out of the game completely.
  3. Is that really his name? If so...awesome. I wish, but no. He's actually William Hayes. If his name were Willie Mays Hayes, though, it'd be his redeeming quality and worth using a fourth round pick on.
  4. The Titans' undrafted free agents, by the way: RB Rafael Little, UK RB Omar Cuff, Delaware WR Jason Rivers, Hawaii G/C Eric Scott, UK C Fernando Velasco, UGA S Tony Joiner, UF DT Barry Booker, Va Tech LB Jerrell Freeman, Mary-Hardin Baylor T Brock Pasteur, Stephen F. Austin WR Edward Williams, Lane College Mike Reinfeldt certainly has an infatuation with small college players. In addition to four of 10 undrafted free agents, he drafted two more from no-name colleges (Willie Mays Hayes, Winston Salem, and Cary Williams, Washburn). He's very similar to Bill Polian in that sense, going for the talented unknown on the cheap. Problem is, Polian's very good at what he does, Mike Reinfeldt simply is not. To be fair, I like bringing in Velasco, Joiner, Cuff and Rivers. Booker's interesting, but I know nothing about Freeman, Pasteur and Williams. Little is just a worse version of Chris Johnson, who's a more productive version of Chris Henry (who was, interestingly, already on our roster before we wasted our first round pick). Ping, do you know anything at all about Eric Scott?
  5. Not a bad crop. I'm becoming more and more pleased by the Vikings' draft. The Titans on the other hand... Hey, don't worry. We signed two undrafted running backs - UK's Rafael Little and Delaware's Omar Cuff. Our hole at running back has been filled.
  6. I kind of hate it. We didn't make any kind of a move for offensive weapon Brad Cottam at TE - instead taking blocking TE Craig Stevens. After that, we trade up in the fourth round to take a defenive end (which we've already filled) that likely wasn't going to be drafted in William Hayes. Then we finally make a good pick, Lavelle Hawkins. Finally, at the end of the fourth round we get Stanford Keglar. Don't know much about him, except he's from Purdue and their defense is atrocious. Not a good feeling. The only picks I've liked so far have been Hawkins and Jason Jones in the second round. Yea, I liked the Hawkins pick. Jones doesn't bother me too much. But the rest of their draft has been terrible. My feeling on Chris Johnson is entirely determinant on what the Titans do with Chris Henry. Charles Davis on NFL Network hinted that they may trade him, and it only makes sense to. Should the Titans trade Henry (and actually get something or someone of value for him), I'll like the Johnson pick much more. That's the weird thing, I like Chris Johnson, but he's a terrible choice when our best offensive talents are at running back (save for Crumpler).

  8. I like the Hawkins pick. But yeah, the rest of the Titans' draft today has sucked.
  9. Colts take Jacob Tamme. Very good pick, he'll fit their system nicely, I think.
  10. YES! =D> Finally, the Titans take a wide receiver. Not necessarily who I would have targeted, but I like Hawkins. Decent speed and quite athletic. Two good picks so far in this draft now - Jason Jones and Lavelle Hawkins. Let's keep up the good draft picks, it's a good feeling.
  11. They took Jack Williams, CB from Kent State. Undersized, but Mayock likes him.
  12. Tashard Choice to the Boys.
  13. And there goes Dre Moore. Screw the Titans. They suck at the draft.
  14. Wow, I just realized we traded up for William Hayes... My question is, why was Reinfeldt worried that anyone else would take him?
  15. Wow, the Ravens just picked up Fabian Washington for a fourth round pick. Excellent move.
  16. I seriously doubt that's all it will take. The Bengals did turn down much, much more from the Redskins after all. Two firsts, believe. Maybe. But I think the cap hit is less for them after June 1. Also, after June 1, the Cowboys might know a little more on Pacman. Would the Bengals be interested in Anthony Henry? or maybe Roy Williams? I seriously doubt they'd have any interest in Henry. Williams I could see, as they could use a decent safety.
  17. he used to play for the cleveland indians, couldn't hit much but could run and bunt pretty well. he strangely came back the next year and looked like omar epps instead of wesley snipes. Sadly, I think Willie Mays Hayes would be a much better player than William Hayes.
  18. I seriously doubt that's all it will take. The Bengals did turn down much, much more from the Redskins after all. Two firsts, believe.
  19.   :cray: Apparently William Hayes exists, but he wasn't even on the NFL's list of players in the draft... Mel Kiper had him listed as the 66th - yes 66th - best defensive end available. How bad can this draft possibly get? ESPN is surprised he was drafted at all. The Titans took him in the fourth round.
  20. Does anybody know who William Hayes is? I've never heard of him and I can't find proof that he even exists.
  21. William Hayes? Do they really want Vince Young to fail miserably? We already took a defensive end, why don't we try taking a wide receiver? :banghead:
  22. Jets trade down to Packers. Dre Moore should still be there for the Titans. I want either him or a wide receiver who can catch the football. We need some of those.
  23. Thought he came from Penn State? King to the Rams. Nice choice.
  24. Will Franklin, Keenan Burton, Adarius Bowman, Marcus Monk are all still left. Didn't Bowman time extremely slow? 4.67
  25. Cowboys trade down again with Raiders.
