  1. Yeah, same here. And apparently, the NBC expert judges far differently than the judges who's opinion actually counts. Opinion-based sports suck.
  2. The guy on NBC agrees with you. Unfortunately, the Judges didn't. Yeah, he seemed justifiably pissed. It couldn't have been anything major they counted her off for I wouldn't think. And I feel pretty good in my opinion now since he agrees with me.
  3. Admittedly, I don't know much about gymnastics but Nastia Luiken's routine looked freaking awesome right there.
  4. Pretty intense swim by Elizabeth Beisel there in the semifinal swim. She made a nice comeback against the Japanese swimmer on the last leg and barely beat her out.
  5. Most definitely sleep in. And I might sleep in that first day too . . . just for good measure.
  6. Anybody know if softball's actually going to be shown at midnight tonight, or is it just going to be sometime between midnight and 4 a.m.? I'm struggling to understand exactly when things are going to be televised, for some reason.
  7. Personally, I wanted to see him traded to the Cubs. Maybe it's just me, though. :D
  8. Don't need to know about your dirty mind, Vanilla Ice. =;
  9. Career numbers in Arizona: .150/.261/.333/.594, 69 PA's in Colorado: .298/.420/.649/1.069, 69 PA's in Los Angeles: .247/.365/.420/.784, 96 PA's in Petco: .310/.429/.724/1.153, 70 PA's in San Francisco: .156/.258/.325/.583, 89 PA's I'm liking those Arizona, Los Angeles and San Fran numbers. Hopefully he'll repeat those the rest of the way. Thanks for the info Tiger.
  10. Anybody curious about how the vast parks in the West will affect Dunn? I haven't checked to see how many games vs the West the DBacks still have, but if they play a few more in places like Petco and Dodger Stadium, Dunn's power may not be as prodigious as it was in the Central. Or it may still be, I'm not sure. Just throwing it out for discussion.
  11. Damn it. I really want tOSU to lose that game. They do not need to be in another championship game. They still could since the opener Sanchez is likely to miss is the Virginia game. Also, I'm not convinced Sanchez is a better QB than Mitch Mustain. Neither will be great this year, I don't think.
  12. And more importantly, she swam for the University of Tennessee. :D
  13. There's nothing better than an athletic body type. I'd kill to marry a volleyball/softball player. I like boobs to much, no swimmers/volleyball chics for me. That is a definite problem, though legs are much higher on my list of interests than boobs. I supposed that's why I like volleyball, softball and swimming chics.

  15. [-( http://allamericanspeakers.com/sportspeakers/photos/Joe_Morgan.jpg I was wondering when somebody would bring him up. I was thinking I'd have to go back and make the list accurate in the eyes of Joe Morgan: 1. Joe Morgan 2. Joe Morgan 3. Johnny Bench :D ummm....Davey Conception.... Ooohhh, good point. He's tied for third with Johnny Bench. :D
  16. She's definitely extremely hot. I'm generally disappointed in swimmers' looks, but she definitely doesn't dissapoint at all. I don't get the Natalie Coughlin love. How can you not love that? She's gorgeous.

  18. Melissa Stark is looking really good. That's my profound contribution of the moment.
  19. I think you have to go with Nolan Ryan. 1. Biggio 2. Bagwell 3. Ryan

  21. While it wouldn't be the worst thing Hendry could do, I voted not to bring him back. Like others have said, keep Reed and platoon him with Pie and save the extra million or so to help other areas of need.
  22. I went with Webb/Haren, though the Z/Harden duo is really, really close.
  23. I didn't realize they were on right now. I've been watching the women's indoor volleyball team against Japan. Heather Bown is not only good looking, she's also really good. And this is a terrific match - very competitive so far.
  24. Except that DFA'ing him now would be a complete waste. He's here already so we're paying his salary no matter what. We haven't been able to trade him to this point, but in the winter when there's just one year left on his deal it might be possible. That way we get something for him - or don't have to pay him for that final year. Cutting him now accomplishes nothing. Does pitching him now accomplish anything, especially if Milwaukee or the Cards get hot again and challenge us for the division and he's getting lit up every 5th day? If you don't cut him, then move him to the pen and give Marshall the spot. So what if Marquis doesn't want to pitch in the bullpen? Boo friggin hoo. I have plenty of things in my job that I don't want to do, but I do them anyway, and he's making more money this year than I'll ever see in my life. Jason Marquis is not getting "lit up every fifth day". He's only given up 5+ ER five times this year, which is not good but also probably not unlike most 5th starters. Exactly. Marquis isn't pitching great and Marshall may very well do better the rest of the way - but will it be better enough to warrant basically having a black hole sitting in your bullpen (a pissed off Marquis). Is this an ideal situation? No, but hopefully it will be remedied with a trade of Marquis in the offseason. For now, though, it's in the team's best interest to keep him in the starting rotation until the season ends or he really does "get lit up every fifth day."
