  1. Willie Mays Hayes is keeping us in this game so far. He's recovered a fumble and forced one - the first inside our five, saving a TD. And now Kerry hits Gage for a long TD!!!! 10-0 Tennessee!!
  2. I suck. I missed two of yesterday's games (screw you Arizona and Colorado State), but didn't have more than 16 points on any of the games. I still have plenty of points left to come back if I actually get the games right.
  3. I really like them too.
  4. I'm pretty sure he already got sent to the lockerroom. He was down atleast twice because of his shoulder, and I don't think he came back after his fumble. He didn't. They took him to the locker room after that hit. If the game stays close, though, I wouldn't expect him to remain out, though.
  5. I'm afraid Derrick Mason may not survive this game. He's been a very underrated receiver.
  6. It's impressive how no one's been talking about Miami this season. Joey Porter is a freaking stud while providing the added bonus of being freaking crazy. It is interesting that, in spite of being 9-5 following a 1-15 year and controlling their own destiny for the AFC East title, the intrigue of the blowout at Foxboro and the wildcat formation (especially now that other teams are suddenly using it) has worn off, and thusly so has the coverage. As a Dolphins fan, I'm very much prepared for the possibility that next year's team could be better while having a worse record. It is funny how all the talk about Ware going for the sack record seems to have overlooked that Porter is right there with him, though. It's a sad truth that no team will get the coverage that the Cowboys/Patriots/Giants/Jets will - even if those teams thoroughly suck. The Pats got massive, fawning coverage after starting 10-0 last season. The Titans this year? Mostly ignored and most of the coverage (save for Ditka and Deion) was about why they had no shot. Ware plays for Dallas, thus he'll get more coverage for the same feat that Porter is going for.
  7. Favre will as well - which may be deserved. The Jets sucked last year and Favre has come in and now they're decent. oh come on. I question whether he should get it or not. The additions of guys like Kris Jenkins and Calvin Pace (I think they got him this past offseason) definitely helped, but would the Jets be where they are now with Kellen Clemens or Chad Pennington? They weren't last year with those two, so I doubt it. Considering Pennington has been better than Favre this year, I imagine they would be. Of course, you can't just play the stat game with what-ifs because of the other factors, but on paper, the Jets would be better off with Pennington. I wonder if Pennington fits better in Miami's system than the Jets'. Either way, neither should be in the MVP conversation.
  8. I think he'll get consideration because the media (read: ESPN) will pimp him like crazy. Actually, I hadn't seen his numbers recently (no real reason to look) and now that I see them, I tend to think he shouldn't even be in the conversation. Jenkins may well be the MVP of that team. I don't know if he should win mainly because it'd be the Broncos imploding more than anything that would get SD back into the playoff race. With his stats, though, he should get consideration - especially if they climb back in the race.
  9. Yeah, in most I've seen B.J. Raji and Peria Jerry go ahead of him. I've also seen Sen'Derrick Marks go ahead of him (to the Titans, which I wouldn't mind). Sen'Derrick Marks is - imo - the best defensive tackle in the 09 draft if he turns pro. I like Marks quite a bit. And if the Titans let Albert go, we'll need somebody like him.
  10. I'm sure Matt Ryan will run away with the award but there are a bunch of guys who deserve some consideration including Forte, Johnson and you. Yeah, Ryan will win it. It's such a hard call between him, CJ and Forte though. I'd probably give CJ a slight edge over Forte and Ryan, but I have trouble blaming someone for voting for any of the three.
  11. Which is why I don't think he should win it. He will get consideration, though. Right or wrong.
  12. Favre will as well - which may be deserved. The Jets sucked last year and Favre has come in and now they're decent. oh come on. to be fair, dew is actually john madden. I actually don't hate Madden like most do.

They weren't last year with those two, so I doubt it. Favre should not win it - he's not in my top three of Peyton, Peterson, Haynesworth - but consideration (i.e. top 5) isn't out of line, in my opinion.
  14. He won't win it, but the Titans would be below .500 without Albert Haynesworth. I'd vote for him. He might win my vote (if I had one) if the Titan defense looks like I expect it to the next couple of weeks. It's amazing the difference he can make on a defense. He definitely should be top three, though (Peyton, Peterson, Haynesworth).
  15. He should win it, without a doubt. Yes definitely. I think if the 'Aints had managed to make the playoffs, it probably would have been Brees. But if they had made the playoffs, they wouldn't be the 'Aints, now would they?
  16. Peterson should get a lot of consideration. Favre will as well - which may be deserved. The Jets sucked last year and Favre has come in and now they're decent. What I'd like to see, though, is Colt fans becoming more enraged as Peyton splits the MVP vote and ends in a tie with Kerry Collins.
  17. Yeah, in most I've seen B.J. Raji and Peria Jerry go ahead of him. I've also seen Sen'Derrick Marks go ahead of him (to the Titans, which I wouldn't mind).
  18. try to find recent pics of former OU sooner lawrence Mo Dampeer with his new team he must weigh 450 pounds EDIT lucky you That's a very large man.
  19. We'll see if Kiffin's plundering is worth it, then. And I'm pretty shocked Mt. Cody is returning. He'd almost certainly be a first round pick (and probably the first DT taken) had he left this year. He would have been a nice grab for Tennessee if he lasted long enough and if the Titans couldn't bring back Haynesworth. He'd need to lose a little more weight before he became a definite first rounder, imo. Yeah, definite was too strong of a word. I think he'd have a good chance to be a first rounder, though.

  21. Lane Kiffin has plundered another coach from the South Carolina coaching staff. This time, Kiffin has offered the strength and conditioning coach Mark Smith the job at UT and rumors are that he'll accept. No idea how good this guy is, but it makes me happy that Kiffin is pissing Spurrier off. :D
  22. He should win it, without a doubt.
  23. They are playing on January 1...conceivably Hazelton could give Penn State a lot of information if he transferred before then. Although I'm not sure how you guys know Carroll isn't letting Hazelton go to Penn State. What in the article says that? Maybe he just wants to go to Mizzou? It may have just been pure speculation by Raisin that Truffle and I ran with (shame on you Raisin  ).
  24. Agreed. I don't really understand why he would hold that up. If it were UCLA or ND or somebody, I could understand more. But Penn State? Unless he expects to play PSU in the next couple of Rose Bowls or something.
  25. that doesn't make any sense, carroll can't control where he goes. maybe they're willing to let him play next year if he goes to certain schools but not if he goes to penn state? Don't they have to be released from their scholarship? I'm pretty sure coaches can control, to some degree, where guys go. Yeah, if a coach doesn't release a player from his scholarship willingly, then the player has to go through an NCAA appeals process to get it done - and like most things with the NCAA, those suck and are hard to win. Coaches can then agree with players that they'll release them from their scholarship only for certain schools - and not for others, i.e. Carroll releasing Hazelton to go to Missouri but not releasing him to go to PSU.
