  1. I was wondering if you were still following. Yeah, I haven't spent much time in these threads this year. Luckily we'll have KVB and Haynesworth back for the playoffs, but Hayes and Jones play today made me feel a lot better about our depth.

  3. I'm really excited right now about Jason Jones and William Hayes - two rookie defensive linemen for the Titans. Both had huge days today in place of KVB and Haynesworth. I still think they took Hayes a round (or so) early, but I'm seeing what they liked in him.
  4. if the bucs win (and they will), the eagles have no chance to make the playoffs. i don't know who has a tiebreaker between the cowboys and the bucs. Cowboys. They beat the Bucs 13-9 in week 8.
  5. Peter King just said on the NBC broadcast that Mike Singletary is likely to be hired as the 49er head coach. =D> Awesome news.
  6. You would be correct, good sir. Though that should have been pass interference on the Falcons. If anything it should've been offensive PI. Rice had his right arm nearly extended pushing off on the DB and he clearly initiated the first contact. That's what I thought at first, but on the replay his hand wasn't actually on the DB. The back was actually hanging on his arm, keeping it from coming back up.
  7. The funniest thing is, the media will likely applaud him for "leading his team back from a tough start" that was obviously not his fault in any way.

  9. They should be ok, Tarvaris Jackson is still the QB. Even though he's been ok today.
  10. Yeah, I'm a bit conflicted because I don't want the Patriots in the playoffs either (more just because I'm sick of them). I think it's in the best interest of the Titans that the Jets miss, though, and I'd love to see the Tennessee defensive line cause Cassel problems.
  11. What's with you and the Jets? just the game earlier this season? If Favre is on and with Kris Jenkins in the middle of the line, I worry about a matchup with the Jets more than I do almost any other team. The game earlier has little to do with it, we were on a huge streak and had just finished a stretch of four very tough games. We were bound to lose - and we did, big. The matchup against the Jets simply worries me more than the Patriots, Dolphins or Ravens.
  12. Favre just threw a pick and Seattle will win 13-3. Miss the playoffs please, Jets.
  13. Gus made an awesome call as Lavernaeus Coles just barely dropped a deep pass on fourth and four on the New York 20. Seattle ball, up 10-3 with 2:00 left in the game.
  14. Come on Seattle. Make it a little harder for the Jets to make the playoffs.
  15. Great game all around. Much like the Titans/Colts game from earlier this year, the game was closer than the final score indicates. A Steeler/Titan AFC Championship game would be fantastic to watch.
  16. if you have to win two home games to make the super bowl, you are a serious super bowl contender. anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. I was referring more to the "the Titans haven't beaten anybody any good" or "the Titans don't really have an offense and their defense is soft - look, the Jets manhandled them." There is now no doubt, my first Tennessee Titan game in attendance will be a playoff game.
  17. And Michael Griffin puts the exclamation point on the win with an interception returned for a touchdown! 31-14 Tennessee, this has become a blowout!
  18. I don't want to hear any more about doubts about this Titan team being a Super Bowl contender from media types. Wins over Chicago, Minnesota, Indy, Baltimore and now, if we can hold this lead, Pittsburgh - without Albert Haynesworth and Kyle Vanden Bosch, two of the best defensive linemen in the game - should be enough to make us serious contenders.
  19. Juggernauts
  20. LenDale touchdown!!!! After a Michael Griffin interception the Titans drive down, get a mystery unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on fourth down and big LenDale punches it in! 24-14 Titans early in the fourth
  21. Yeah, to say the least that was dumb. But I'll take the TD.
  22. CHRIS JOHNSON TOUCHDOWN!!! 4th and inches from the Pittsburgh 20 and Fisher goes for it. Little toss play to the left to CJ, he makes one man miss and goes straight in. Celebrated too early and nearly cost us, but he got in anyway. 17-14 Titans
  23. Well crap. . . Pit runs the hurry up offense on us and the Titan defense forgets how to cover men down the field. Two deep passing plays to Hines Ward and its 14-10 Steelers.
  24. Titans catch a break as Jeff Reed misses a field goal to end the half. Still 10-7 Titans
  25. Awesome deep catch by Santonio Holmes for a touchdown. 10-7 Tennessee with 5:40 left in the half.
