Is Kiko Calero mediocre though? I realize last season might be a blip on his career stats, but I think he's worth a shot. Not an overpaid shot, just a 1 year, manageable contract shot.

This is more for discussion; hence why I didn't put it transactions. Why is it so hard to sign a bullpen arm to shore up the 'pen? There's been Calero talk off and on all winter. There's been speculation of Chan Ho Park. With Jim Hendry's affinity to over-spend on mediocre relievers, why is it now taking seemingly forever to sign that "final piece"?

As we get closer and closer to pitchers and catchers reporting to Arizona and Florida, we are drawing closer to Spring Training and the 2010 Season. That can only mean that it is also almost time for the 2010 HR Derby to commence! This is just a little heads-up that the threads will be posted on Sunday, March 14, 2010. I'm looking forward to another great season of HR Derby action! =D>

I'd say this ... if he was signed to a minor league deal with no invite to spring training and just focused on "rehabbing" and seeing what he has left at this point, then fine. I don't want to hear about it all spring and having the actual team being an afterthought.
