9 out of 10 hitters get figured out, it is up to them to remain mentally tough and figure out how to make the pitchers adjust again.

Give Quintin credit on that one, Dempster would've retired 9 of 10 batters with those pitches, Carlos stuck with him and got Dempster's one mistake. As far as Patterson, that wind is bad & he's a 2B playing LF, give Cabrera credit for playing heads up.

That 3-1 pitch was right down broadway. The 3-2 pitch was a great pitch by Vasquez. 2 outs, runner in SP and a rookie on-deck, his mindset should be to drive that guy in, not get on base.

Vasquez has a 3/1 strike ratio, unless he is missing in the zone, I'm not seeing it.
