    Yup, but in your gut you know it's going to be blow out near the end or too little too late. What really hurts is thinking what might have been if Demps had the closing slot in April. That might have been good for 5-10 more wins.

    They should. :-) Had Prior lasted another inning, they would have seen Prior and Wood back to back. If that isn't an NL hitter's nightmare, I don't know what is. :-)

    Yeah. If Wood stays in the pen next year, it seems a waste of starter-quality talent. However, this full-throttle, all-out thing for an inning or two seems to work for him... and keeps the arm serviceable in the process.
