    Sorry, it wasn't. Quit whining about the officiating. Yes, McCreary sucks. He's sucked since I listened to Foley and Tallon on the radio in the 80's. But it wasn't a penalty.

    Hawks need to win faceoffs. Luongo doesn't give a lot of rebounds, and if you don't win faceoffs in the opponent's zone... well, it'll be a lot tougher to score.

    According to the Globe and Mail, Phaneuf is OUT for tonight. Anders Eriksson will replace him. In addition, Eager broke Pardy's nose in the fight Saturday night. If Phaneuf is indeed out tonight, the Hawks need to take advantage and win this series. That's a huge loss for Calgary and one that can be exploited. Eriksson is no where near the player Phaneuf is.

    Crap. I don't think I get to watch this game since VS. is showing the Ducks vs. Sharks. I am not amused.

    It could be that Angelo was going to take him later in the draft -- knowing that virtually no other team had in interest in him. It doesn't mean that Angelo was definitely going to take him in the second.

    Horrid coaching in the 3rd period. They were looking to poach a goal or take it to OT. If they'd have controlled possession, they would have probably scored -- when they controlled the puck, they got plenty of pressure and shots.

    I hate the whole "flames spend 35 seconds in our zone, we finally control it, try the HR pass, fail, give them the puck for another prolonged attack" thing. Skate, you melon farmers. That's what you are paid to do. Yes. This is really ticking me off.

    Love that effort by Versteeg -- saving the icing.

    Yes Barker messed up, never pass into the middle of the defensive zone unless you know you have the puck squarely on your stick, he should have went back up the boards or a wrap around That was a huge mistake. I saw two or three turnovers in our defensive zone on similar plays, as well. Can't keep doing that.
