    Milner should be cheap enough for them to still be in on another veteran Lefty arm like Pomeranz, Newcomb, Chafin.

    At this point I'd rather give Jensen a 1 year deal instead of multi year deals to Fairbanks or Weaver.

    Bob is likely right but a day early on the announcement. I don't hate Gallen it's losing the draft pick and IFA space on top of paying market rate for SP that sucks.

    It's interesting we've haven't seen a lot of rumors connecting the Cubs to any other bats besides Bregman.

    I think the Cubs had a run the last few months on late signings and needed some of this money from the trade to cover that . Jamis Martinez is signing in next years class with the Cubs so it's not going towards him.

    If you're trying to even maintain last seasons offensive output they have to upgrade at third base allowing Shaw to be a super sub. In no order these are some options available for just cash this offseason. Bregman Suarez Moncada Murakami Kazuma Okamoto Song Kim Bichette Polanco
