    You can complain about a lot of things Baker does but lets not blame him for Patterson. No matter where you hit in the line up a slider in the dirt or a face high fastball it's still the same. Baker makes Corey a average at best bunter? Come on guys you have grips with Baker but trying to blame him for Patterson is just too much. Patterson is a bust , he might be an average player some where else but he needs a change .

    To be honest the Corey Cartel would have crashed this board had we traded him for anything in 2003, even two years later the blame will be on Dusty not on Corey for his failure to do anything but defense which has seemed to slip this season. A lot of us thought the backlash of the Choi for Lee was way overboard and he was a productive young proven first baseman with speed , gold glove and power.

    2003 we seemed to have some swagger from the big Three in the rotation. Last year was the whiners. Whats the identity of this years team? They seem to be running in place . After last years collapse and this year starting off Slow even with the injuries when we will we see one of the players call the team out like Billy Wagner has done with the Phillies someone other than the manager going on a tirade to ignite his team , I remember Wood blasting his teams play I think 2003 before a series in St Louis can't rember if it worked or not. I just want to see some emotion from the players on this team or better put well directed emotion we've seen Zambrano have his troubles and last years emtion been thrown at announcers and media instead of on the field

    good to see Willamson getting stretched out with two innings stints. How many innings does he have under his belt so far?

    In sundays Trib Phil Rogers says that the Cubs are high on Burnetts personal wish list this offseason which includes the Orioles, Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Rangers, Angels. Sounds like Burnett's list just includes teams with the payroll to give him the 10 million a season he's looking for.

    They use Adam Dunns forskin as a tarp at Yankee Stadium when it rains. ADam Dunn once had sex with a cigerette machine. One time Adam Dunn ate an entire cake before we could tell him there was a stripper inside.

    I would take a stab at one of these guys if I was the Cubs , let Mitre go back to Iowa and start every day, The Cubs have good luck at picking arms off the scrap heap and getting decent years out of them Van Poppel, Worrell, Jobo, Rusch.

    Cubs.com says Nomar is hitting off a a tee in Mesa still no time table on his return. Still looking like late July.
