I'm specifically referring to him being fourth only in terms of Jed landing free agent targets that offseason. He was a clear fourth choice league wide. The Cubs made a higher offer to Turner and Correa that offseason. It's great Hoyer and the rest of the league were wrong about Turners and Correa's ability to stay healthy. Wasn't arguing it hasn't worked out for the Cubs despite them not spending enough to bag Turner at the time.
Now they are updating it saying those are just teams he's considering ... not finalists ? Basically he's picked a coast but he's leaving the door open for the Mets and Phillies.
So Phil Maton was the head addition to the bullpen this offseason? Not much left.

With Diaz signed those Skubal reports out of LA late last night seem a little more real. I'm not counting the Dodgers out on Tucker or Bellinger either.
Bob is likely right but a day early on the announcement. I don't hate Gallen it's losing the draft pick and IFA space on top of paying market rate for SP that sucks.
