Haha. Of course. Castro kills it at someone and Schwarber gets a questionable strike 2 call and hits a weak one on the next pitch. -
There has been plenty of Cub failure, separate from the umpiring. I'm plenty angry at the zone too but I don't think he should go off in the PC. Maybe we could blame the umpires if it were closer and we weren't getting killed in all aspects of the game.

Their high contact speedsters are a bad matchup for the Mets. Matchup reminiscent of 2003 Cubs vs Marlins.

Not objectively, but they're weaker than any of the other 4 teams that made the NL playoffs, and it's not close. Yes, but really no. There is no question that by the time the postseason hit, the Cardinals were the worst team in the NL bracket. Playoffs might be a crapshoot but the Mets are beating us in all aspects of the game. Saying they are weak is ridiculous. They absolutely deserve to go up 3-0.

On the bright side can you imagine just getting small balled to death by KC? They would steal 20 bases on Lester alone. The Cubs just don't deserve to win this series. I'm fine with that.

As annoying as the strike zone and Babip luck were the Cubs were outplayed the first 2 games. At least it won't be so painful if they lose getting outplayed. That said the series is far from over.

Yep. That was a direct result of the called strike 1 and 2. Robot umps please. I don't see how anyone can possibly be against robot umps.

So we trust gameday all year long but now we're going to believe TBS instead? Sorry. I gave up on the TBS zone a few games ago. The thing isn't accurate at all and we can't tell with the naked eye if a ball is outside because the camera is off to the side. This one is worse. And the one from game 1 got 6 of 8 called strike 3 on Cub hitters. Cubs are a selective team. A wide zone favors the other team.

Based on the strike zone Syndergaard is never throwing a [expletive] strike yet he keeps striking us out.

So Lester and Arrieta lose 2 and the Cubs come back to even the series behind Hendricks and Hammel. Stranger things have happened.
