  1. And Ross does? Soler is your best shot of doing a lot of damage there Agree that Ross sucks. But he hit kluber and almost walked. Jorge has lately been flailing at pitches in the dirt.
  2. I honestly don't mind this. Jorge has no shot against miller.
  3. I had a bad feeling about addy there. Knew he was going to k.
  4. Oh I'd give my left nut to demolish miller and demoralize them here. They might get swept if they lose here.
  5. What an AB by a guy who hasn't batted in 7 months. horsefeathers you doubters!
  6. It's not right that a team with a racist logo wins is it?
  7. I think Maddon is going to let schwarber hit a bomb off miller.
  8. Ok now destroy Miller. That will rattle them a bit.
  9. Ok fine. Bring in miller. Eventually they will get to him if he pitches every damn game.
  10. Well good thing that the Indians can horsefeathers worth sh!t and still can't hit it out of the infield despite getting gifted a microscopic strike zone.
  11. He's got to throw it. Even if he throws it into the stands.
  12. 40-1 odds that he hits the first homer in the series. Tempted to put some money down on that. Those odds seem ridiculously high. Prop bets are usually sucker bets because odds are rarely good. That almost seems like a mistake. I would've guessed 10-1 tops. Doubt you can still bet those odds. On ESPN 1000, Tom Waddle just made a $100 bet on that prop.
  13. Coughlan is a surprise, but I'll trust Joe here. Actually expected Heyward. If benching Heyward, not sure why not Contreras.
  14. No Heyward! Chris Coughlan instead. Schwarber batting 5th.
  15. Two issues: 1) Health: Obviously, if there's a real chance he gets is hurting himself from an injury standpoint by playing, he shouldn't and he won't. So not worried. 2) Rust/Timing: Maybe someone who has played baseball on a high level can provide some input here but I'm just not buying it. This guy has been hitting a baseball for 20 years. He's been facing live pitching for a while. He's been working out. Ballplayers who are playing every day can go into slumps where they can't hit a beachball (see Heyward) and ballplayers can come back from a long stint on the DL and hit 2 home runs in their first 2 AB's. I'll take my chances with a rusty Schwarber over Coughlan or Lastella every single time. One factor will be base running, but as long as he can get from base to base it's a perfectly fine tradeoff to me. So he's definitely on the roster. Now how much he plays is a different issue and depends on what's happening with Heyward, Contraras, Almora etc in the outfield since it seems as if Contreras has made a strong case to play even when he's not catching, maybe as a DH. Soler, however, hasn't.
  16. What's the debate here? Rust? We all know he's coming back. It's a done deal unless something unforeseen happens with a medical setback. I'll be moderately surprised if he isn't starting at DH in game 1.
