  1. You really do suck tomlin! Wake up from your dream and turn into a pumpkin.
  2. One problem with that strategy. If it doesn't happen, then you probably only get a refund for face value.
  3. Lineup: 1) Fowler 2) Schwarber 3) KB 4) Rizzo 5) Zobrist 6) Russell 7) Contreras 8) Heyward 9) Baez
  4. Agreed. Let's see what happens. I'll believe the hype and get excited when the offense breaks out tonight.
  5. I thought the Cubs were going to blow the division series late game 4. I know I'm not alone there. The pressure has shifted. Hopefully that means some of the Cubs stop playing like ass while the Indians start.
  6. Well, I 100% agree with the narrative that they Cubs are chasing bad pitches. We can give the Indians some credit, but I don't think that its all because their pitchers are so dominant. Never mind Javy, even Bryant has looked bad in many AB's. I saw a stat that they are chasing 51% of pitches outside the strike zone. During the year, they led all of baseball with a chase rate of only 28%. Give credit to the pitchers? Well, the best pitchers during the year only get a 41% chase rate on pitches outside the zone against EVERYONE. Not just the most disciplined team in baseball. Familia and Miller only got 41% swings on balls against all comers. SO YES. IT'S TRUE. THE CUBS ARE CHASING BAD PITCHES, MANY OF WHICH HAPPEN TO BE CURVE BALLS. THE MOST SELECTIVE TEAM IN BASEBALL IS SWINGING AT A RATE 10% HIGHER THAN AN AVERAGE TEAM AGAINST THE TOUGHEST PITCHERS. IT'S NOT ALL BECAUSE THE INDIANS ARE PITCHING SO WELL. Sorry, didn't mean to yell. But I don't think its meatball to point this out. Also, don't think its meatball to point out that pressure might have had a lot to do with it. To me, this is what "the curse" is about. Not goats, not Bartman. There is legitimately a high degree of pressure to perform for the fans in chicago who are so starved for a championship. And a high degree of pressure when you are expected to win. I have hopes they turn it around because the longer the series draws out, the more the pressure shifts to them to now blow a 3-1 lead.
  7. Even more: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-cubs-continuing-curveball-crisis/ Well we all saw it. It's true. They need to figure it out.
  8. I can see it. He's had the best ABs by a catcher recently by far.
  9. yeah, he looked exactly like hendricks in that start against us. He was amazing. I think we can get to him though on such short rest. I hope. Well I don't think any Cleveland pitcher including Kluber in game 4, Miller or Allen have been as good as you guys probably think they are. They've had a ton of help from the Cubs. Honestly it's not about how Cleveland pitchers anymore. If the Cubs hit like they are capable of they can win. If the Cubs keep flailing at pitches outside the strike zone then they can lose to anyone.
  10. In fairness he did take one that AB. The one grooved right down the middle.
  11. How is it he lays off a curve for a strike but swings when it's in the dirt.
  12. No way. You would be putting the WS winning run on base. Well if they tie it up I don't like our chances anyway
