    Yep. That's why 2003 was so painful. I'm pretty sure they would've beaten the Yankees. 2015 I can live with. They way the Royals played, I think they would've easily handled the Cubs too. I don't buy this "clutch magic" is just luck. Hendricks or Hammel vs the Royals would've been bad. That's a given. But they would've also killed Lester. Probably score 5-6 runs off him without hitting a single ball hard.

    What the [expletive] happened to Murphy? We could've used this Murphy last week.

    Yeah he's full of crap. He didn't spend like 20% of his salary to follow umpires just so he could get dirt and blackmail them. And he didn't find enough dirt on them to lead the league in walks. But hey, the fact that we are discussing it is further evidence that robot umps are needed.

    Good game. Man the Royals almost make me believe in Hawk Harrelsons TWTW nonsense. Tough to hate the Mets too much. It's somewhat refreshing to see that Daniel Murphy isn't Barry Bonds after all. The only real reason I have to root against them is this Murphy the Goat a$$hole piece of $hit but I'm sure he's really a Cardinals or White Sox fan.

    Trading Hendricks would be silly. He's pretty good and cheap. Yeah and no to Zimmerman.

    I've lived in New York. There are some real Met fans but 90 percent of those posers just put away their Yankee gear a few weeks ago.

    Should have a chance again next year. But the way this series has gone having both David Price and Cole Hammels probably wouldn't have helped.

    Can the 2016 Cubs have a competent defense with Soler and Schwarber making up 2/3 of the outfield? Hopefully experience will help.
