  1. tree -- did you catch bp? any epic bombs?
  2. if schwarber and baez came up that would be like super mega awesome lol -- if they ended up playing very well, wouldnt it be hard to send em back down? Why not Vogels if he is back from the DL? they wanna trade him anyways right? let him show off the stick Because Schwarber is a better hitter than Vogelbach. i wanna see schwarber play tomorrow if i could im just saying why would they call him up for a week? if he did great how could they justify sending him back down? Unless they forced him to LF? if thats the case and soler comes back where does baez go? i guess a logjam is a good problem to have!
  3. He can switch every batter but not during an AB. He has to declare which arm before the AB starts. Thanks, that makes sense I saw him pitch in spring training it was a sight to see.

  5. so let me get this straight, for this IFA deal each team is given a maximum spend and if they go over that amount, they get restricted the following year? So if the cubs went ahead and spent 20 million or whatever this year they might as well spend 30 since they will get penalized anyways next year is that right?
  6. This may be overshooting but couldn't Baez at 3b / 2b end up pretty much like the guy were playing against this weekend Anthony Rendon?
  7. Baez first game at 3b --- yum
  8. i have not seen anything indicating they are the front runners. source? Yeah, I'd love to see that printed somewhere. My heart skipped a beat when I read that in your post... http://www.bleachernation.com/2015/06/05/chicago-cubs-reportedly-showing-serious-interest-in-top-cuban-prospect-eddy-julio-martinez/ If they sign him a few guys become immediately trade able like almora
  9. as much as i'd love to see Schwarber up on the cubbies ASAP hard to see it happening for just a couple days.
  10. With the cubs apparently the front runners to get Eddy Julio Martinez in the IFA pool, i hope they grab the best arm possible in the first round. looks like more bats are coming from cuba anyways
  11. yeah thats what im saying jesus sucks to have english as 2nd language What language do you speak that doesn't have any punctuation? japanese dont have much
  12. lol... i guess what im trying to say is the cubs need to go blackhawks in regards to having a dynasty. jeeze why does everything need to be soo literal
  13. yeah thats what im saying jesus sucks to have english as 2nd language
  14. i would have expected our offense to be pretty good and the pen to be pretty good before the season started. the rotation i thought was going to be slightly above average
  15. i wish motte had a changeup he would be filthy
  16. thats pretty eye popping there --- who would have thought the starting pitching would end up being the strongest area of the team
  17. *Starts shaman enchantment to wake up the bats*
  18. It's like he's prepping for a return to the Cubs.... I kid, I kid That said So just compare this here Addison Russell AAA .OPS .803 -->> MLB .OPS -- >> .731 Kris Bryant AAA .OPS 1.042 -->> MLB .OPS -->> .841 Javy Baez AAA .OPS .914 -->> MLB .OPS -->> ???? if you take the average drop in OPS for Addison and KB it would be about - .136 I honestly think he can perform as good as Addison but anyways he should be able to put up an OPS of around .770 for this team that would be huge.. that would make him about 5th best on the team..
  19. 100% yes
  20. http://phuturephillies.com/2015/06/04/minor-leagues-of-interest-chicago-cubs/ not just based on that but cant folks agree? why not go hard on pitching this time around ..
  21. Make that 0-5 with 4 K's. Pretty horrible night for him. But it's only one night. looking at each pitch on gamecast 3 of the k's were over 8 pitches.. i guess luck didnt fall his way,.
  22. And mortgage the future for a rental? not sure it would cost the future to be honest even papelbon would add to the pen and his contract wouldnt really make us have to sell the farm.
  23. Rondon is great when he is on, but i think trading for a new closer would definitely #1 make the pen deeper #2 make my nails way less teeth bitten.
  24. My grandma/grandpa and their parents souls would be so happy.
