  2. The only suspense left with this game is whether Jake goes perfect.
  3. Schwarber is on a genocidal mission against baseballs
  4. THIS IS MY FAVOURITE CUBS TEAM EVER AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT
  5. oh [expletive] oh [expletive] oh [expletive]
  6. I still think the Dodgers are the best team in the NL and the toughest out in the playoffs.

  8. ohmygod, I hope Addy doing his little celebration there gets gif'd.
  9. I'm not a pitching coach by any means, but why throw three straight strikes to a guy without a walk all season?
  10. actually the first 6-7 games he was terrible. obviously picked it up The "ever since" was referring to the complaining, not when he was moved to 3rd in the order. I remember there was some game thread talk about him hitting 3rd about a week ago. Not saying the talk was unwarranted either. Baseball is funny.
  11. I love how people were complaining about him hitting 3rd and he's proceeded to destroy baseballs ever since
  12. Just looking at position players, the top 5 WAR in the NL right now are all on teams currently out of the playoffs. RIzzo, McCutchen and Bryant (!) are the only guys in the top 10 on playoff teams. Rizzo leads that group. I'm guessing Grienke will get serious consideration from a lot of voters with that ERA. I guess I'm naive, I still think Harper wins it whether they make the playoffs or not.

  14. I'm glad Bryant reached so it's one less batter before Schwarber wins it.
  15. It's almost like we should stop running into outs so often.
