I've learned tha Neifi is some one who is tolerable under the following circumstances: 1) He goes through a large period of time with a minimal number of ABs. 2) He's batting at the vey bottom of the order if he is brought in. 3) He's a late inning defensive replacement. I'm fine with Dusty trotting this lineup out. Although, it will be funny to see Neifi make some visits to the mound.

Unless Al decides to play first and pitch, Bugs Bunny style. That wouldn't surprise me at this point.

Okay, I must admit ignorance here. Where did we get JR Mathes from, and what is his story? -Banghart He's a 16th rounder of the Cubs from 2004, he's 24 now and spent last season at Daytona (here are his career stats). He's put up good numbers, but doesn't have stuff that will blow you out of the water. However, since he's lefthanded, he could well have a job in the majors in the very near future.
