  1. That's one of the few times a guy should slide into 1st.
  2. Terrible throw, but nice recovery from Walker.
  3. Apparently into an alternate future.
  4. I am hoping they show some creativity in losing today. There haven't been many, "Just when I thought I was out, they drag me back in." losses lately.
  5. Anyone else have the feeling that if we hadn't won the game in the 9th, we'd lose it in extras?
  6. No one up in the Braves' pen? Yikes.
  7. Eyre and Howry have been overworked lately.
  8. Apparently the Cubs only have one strikeout today. GO CUBS!!!
  9. Wow...heck of a finish to the Indy 500.
  10. Do you mean could have if the Cubs could have been smart enough to trade Sosa earlier and get a player LIKE A. Jones? Or was this deal specifically rumored/on the table/discussed? Those with better memories can help me, but a few years ago the Braves were shopping Jones, and Sosa's value was still quite high at that point. There were many who advocated Sosa for Jones. I can't remember if that was after 2001 or after 2002...
  11. Wow...that was quite possibly one of the most awkward and weird "funny stories" I've ever heard.
  12. This is getting out of hand. "Here's the throw from Murton! ...and he's safe."
  13. This is one of the most bone-headed games I've ever seen.
  14. Glad to see some one take advantage of a hobbled pitcher.
  15. What's the good word on Iowa guys like Les Walrond or Ryan O'Malley? Neither are much to write home about. Walrond's 29 and has been bouncing around the minor leagues for years. O'Malley is a soft-tossing lefty.
  16. At this point in the season, you might as well see what you can get out of him. This team's going nowhere and the young players should get playing time over the vets. We know what to expect with guys like Rusch. Ryu, Marshall, Hill, and the others? Not quite as much so.
  17. 6, I think. Seven in the past six games. Geez.
