  1. I think I found my new favorite player.
  2. I'm also looking forward to numerous post-game press conferences in which Noah will be placed in front of a live microphone. After the NCAA National Championship this year, his comedy potential is off the scale.
  3. Honestly, given the options, Noah was the best choice.
  4. Someone please tell Noah this isn't the WNBA Draft.
  5. When did we trade for Brandon Roy or Lamarcus Aldridge? Noah would have gone Top 3 last year if he declared, guaranteed. Yeah...but that doesn't make him a top 3 player. Semantics. You mean Top 3 in terms of how they turned out. I mean Top 3 in terms of where they'd have been picked. Fair?
  6. When did we trade for Brandon Roy or Lamarcus Aldridge? Noah would have gone Top 3 last year if he declared, guaranteed.
  7. Not too happy about the upcoming Noah selection, but oh well, the Bulls will end up getting 2 of the Top 3 players eligible for the 2006 draft. I'll take it.
  8. I think they'll keep him - I bet they're salivating at the prospect of tapping in to the 1 billion+ Chinese market and are going to try their darndest to keep Yi. It's tougher for a draft pick to force a trade now then when Steve Francis was drafted. *Looks up at the ceiling, fighting back tears.*
  9. I wonder if the Bucks could trade Yi for Monta Ellis, the 18, and a future first rounder?
  10. I go with Yi. Right you are. Considering Milwaukee doesn't have much of a Chinese population and that was part of the deal with Yi, something tells me they won't be keeping that pick...
  11. Honestly, I think the talent from 5 to the middle of the first round is fairly clustered together. I don't think very much separates someone like Jeff Green from Thaddeus Young, you know?
  12. Yeah, top 4 seemed pretty obvious. Now is where it gets interesting... I like Horford better than Conley, but Conley seemed like a better pick for Atlanta. I personally think this is correct. But Atlanta does have tradeable assets to get a PG, plus the #11. Yeah, they'll probably end up taking Acie Law. Or Crittenton or whatever that guy's name is.
  13. Durant's got the chops to play SG, imo. Unless Seattle's trying to bait a team into trading up for the #5? Who else wanted Jeff Green in this year's draft?
  14. Was it Allen straight up for the #5? Or was Theo Ratliff somehow involved?
  15. You're wrong. Is that too harsh a stance to take with the site's founder? I have no idea, but I've seen Conley, Jr. play since the 8th grade and his potential, while high, is not higher than all but two players in the draft. Hollinger's new ranking system agrees with Tim. Considering where that thing ranked Corey Brewer and Nick Fazekas, I'm not exactly high on it.
  16. Let's bring back some draft memories. With the 20th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, the New York Knicks select...
  17. He could turn into someone like Chris Mihm or Brad Miller. ...whether or not that's what you'd want out of the #9 pick is another matter altogether.
  18. Simple game for all of you. Contracts aside, you're starting a new team and can take any five players you want. Mine: Albert Pujols Miguel Cabrera Alex Rodriguez Jose Reyes Johan Santana Who would you take?
  19. Turning things around a bit, who could the Bulls draft who would become an immediate starter on this team? Unless they trade up, the answer is no one. Unless they draft a guy who comes on like a house of fire, odds are really good they'll end up taking a guy and have him spend some quality time on the bench over the next season at the very least. With that in mind, I don't think it would be such a bad idea to draft someone who's rough around the edges like Hawes or Brandan Wright (although, in all fairness, Wright is more ready for the NBA than some people make him out to be). Draft one of these guys, whip them into shape, and pick your spots in using them next season. Hell, they'd do the same thing with Yi and Noah. Brandan Wright has the highest ceiling of anyone in this draft outside of Oden and Durant. If this guy could develop into a force underneath, why not take a shot at him at #9?
  20. Frankly, I'm still holding out hope that the Bulls will trade up from the second round into the late first to snag someone like Alando Tucker, Gabe Pruitt, Arron Afflalo, or even Sean Williams or Kyle Visser.
  21. See, while Brandan Wright might be a bit of a slouch and not much of a workout guy, I think Scott Skiles would be perfect for him. Skiles won't put up with that kind of garbage from anyone. Plus, if Wright falls to 9, he might get a chip on his shoulder that'll help with getting his motivation up. He's intriguing to me, at the least.
  22. I dunno about that one, that sweep of the Cardinals last season was awesome.
