  1. Even if Duke pulls this one out, they're toast against WVU or Arizona. I can't see how they can hang with either of those teams when they're having trouble putting away Belmont.
  2. These announcers need to stop swinging from Duke's jock.
  3. Ditto, only I have Arizona instead of WVU. I've seen several and this definitely isn't his typical game. I assumed that hopefully they get past this game and he has one of his stronger games against Wisconsin because I picked them to go the sweet 16 then losing to Georgetown. Same. I don't think Wisconsin has the talent to overcome someone like Beasley. The Badgers might make a game with USC, but at the rate things are going for the Trojans, I'm back and forth on it. OJ Mayo could kill the Badgers.
  4. Teams with a good chance of screwing up my brackets tonight: West Virginia Southern Cal I was getting a bit nervous when Xavier was having trouble against Georgia, but that happily was settled.
  5. What happened? All of a sudden, one of the announcers started talking about Eli Manning and Tom Brady in this weird, dreamy fashion. The other announcer said, in his own creepy way, "You like that, don't you?" It was freaky.
  6. Did anyone else just catch the pillow talk that happened during the Baylor/Purdue game?
  7. He was probably the fastest player in the system (although I think Pie beat him in a foot race), so the guy was a good athlete and had some potential in CF.
  8. Wasn't Miguel Cuevas Novas a youngish pitcher who was something like 6'10?
  9. I would rather that then non-stop music talk and Podcast Studio talk... They may have misguided opinions, but they at least talk about baseball 10 times more than Len & Bob. Really? I could swear Hawk just stops talking any time the White Sox are losing.
  10. He's utility man who's average to slightly above average at most things, but doesn't do anything in particular very well. He'd make a decent 25th man, but that's about it.
  11. I'd like to thank Jim Nantz for his attempted voodoo and jinxes.
  12. As a general FYI, under the new rule changes, the first day of the draft is now only the first two rounds.
  13. It also depends on which side of things you're looking at. In terms of pitchers, the Cubs have done an outstanding job of spotting and developing pitching prospects. When it comes to hitting prospects, the Cubs have done pretty poorly.
  14. Not too shabby. I like the first two rounds. The third round I'm okay with.
  15. Well, in their defense, he did multiply loaves and fishes. One doesn't drink red with seafood. Unless you're Russian.
  16. OHHHHHHHHHHHHH TIMEOUTIMEOUTIMEOUTIMEOUT!!!!!!!
  17. Isn't that fat bastard retired though? He can always be lured out with a case of Natty Light, a carton of smokes, and 32 hot wings from Buffalo Wild Wings.
  18. And yet, we're still trying to trade for another one. When you see him in the field for an extended period of time at 2B, you'll understand.
  19. He fell off the face of the planet with the Redskins and hasn't scored a TD since his days with the 49ers. I think, at best, he'll turn out to be a passable #2 WR. I don't think it's likely, but there's a possibility.
  20. My buddy argued with me about this big time...and lost. You only use select if you were playing 2 player. Then it's up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, select, start. The select was just to move the cursor from 1 to 2 players. Correct. I use it to determine how social of a childhood people have. If you omit the select, then you were a sad, lonely child.
  21. In vaguely related news, Troy Patton just opted to undergo shoulder surgery and is expected to be out of action for all of 2008.
