At how much it would've taken to get Tejada and his salary? I'm not so sure. I thought the Stros gave up a lot of quantity, but not quality. Could be remembering wrong, though. You pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Sadly, in looking at the system, the best SS option this team can hope for is through the forthcoming draft. If you thought Theriot was scrappy and hustle-tastic, just wait until you see Darwin Barney.

He's a better option than Theriot. He has had more success in the minor leagues than Theriot. He has a higher ceiling than Theriot. Quite frankly, I think he's just as good as Theriot at this moment in time. There are better shortstops out there than him, but Theriot is not one of them. So, no, I won't give it up.
