    A Spurs-Celtics series could be a big time defensive battle as well which would be kinda boring also. True, but it'd be something different. Plus, it'd be fun to watch Garnett versus Duncan. I was hoping this series would be Lakers/Hornets, but nooooooooooooooooooooo.

    I can't stand the Spurs. Their constant complaining is maddening. If we have another Spurs/Pistons finals, I won't watch a second of it.

    I'll take a .412 OBP any day of the week out of a hitter. I'd like to see some more power from him, but if he keeps that OBP up, I won't care a whole lot.

    I hate how the park has so many caroms that take away extra base hits. It's so damned arbitrary.

    That game was Dusty-like. Score big in the first inning and look like a top-flight offense...and then take a nap for the next 8 innings.

    Haven't we only won 1 road series this year? (Swept Pirates) Yes sir. So once we come back down to earth at Wrigley, we're in some deep crap. That or we're due to get better on the road.

    Anyone else find it weird how West always calls strikes on check swings behind home plate? It's like he rarely lets the catcher appeal.

    I'll be there if the Cubs lose this one. We have one more inning to go, the middle of the order due up, and a crotchety and crazed umpire behind the dish. The 9th could turn out well for us. But if they lose, I'll be annoyed.

    I figure letting Gallagher take his lumps in the majors is more productive long-term than watching Marquis get smacked around every five days.

    I remain naggingly convinced that his arm is overrated. It's probably just a selective memory thing with me, but who knows. I thought it was a good throw, on target on one hop, but either he got rid of it slow, or Berkman is faster than I thought Was it his throwing elbow that he got surgery on?

    The calm down people have been right a lot more often than the "sky is falling" people, who seem to appear every single game. I'm surprised you're not in full-fledged "I told you so!" mode. Frankly, I wouldn't blame you for it.
