  1. Looks like the rain's passed through Peoria. It'll be in the 40s tonight, but I'm still going to make the trek! Hopefully the game won't get called due to wet grounds before I go there. :?
  2. Walked one and hit a guy! The bum! :-)) He only went 1-3 at the plate too. Talk about non-contributor. Ship his sorry butt back to Iowa !!!! In fairness, he was facing a AAA team in that game. On the road, no less!
  3. MiLB.tv streams games, although I don't know if anyone here has it. Boise streams their home games for free, although they don't start up until mid-summer. You can find the minor league audio feeds here.
  4. I might make the drive over to Peoria today if the weather manages to clear up. Doesn't look too good at the moment, though.
  5. We only have one first day pick now. :D
  6. yeah, the pitcher just took one off the jugular. hit him right above his eye on his forehead. liner off of cameron's bat. Apparently he'll be fine. They took him to the hospital and he'll need some stitches. However, the ball ricocheted off his face and into the stands. Holy crap.
  7. Aaron Miles won't let you share in his pot of gold for saying that. Harden goes 5, works in the low 90s, and picks up the W.

  9. Somehow, each Cubs team scored 4 runs apiece. Go figure.
  10. So when will a Brewers newbie bump this thread as the Brewers start to get hot again, only to see them smacked down by the Cubs again?
  11. Thanks Nate! I'm looking forward to hearing how hard Shafer's throwing. Most people seem to think he has everything he needs to make it to the majors and be a really good pitcher, save for his velocity. If he's working in the 90s, everyone here will be really excited for his potential as a Cub!
  12. Happily, today is minor league baseball's opening day! I really want to go to Peoria to catch tonight's game, but I have a class at 6 that will prevent me from going.
  13. Good game. It's always nice to take 2 out of 3 on the road against any team.
  14. To get Marquis off of it. We have a winner! Sweet! Do I win a black guy? If you are a male fish, Kanye West would like to have a few words with you.
  15. Their children shall be belligerent and numerous. Futurama references? Nerd. Also, bite my shiny metal ass. Bite my glorious golden ass.
  16. If a guy is gonna slump, this is the kind of slump to be in. Yeah, I really can't complain about a .357 OBP during a slump.
  17. So when do the bad board game jokes start up regarding his slump?
  18. Their children shall be belligerent and numerous.
  19. I remember taking the Red Line to work the next morning. The cemetery north of Wrigley had a ton of downed trees from where the lightning had just ripped them apart. It was the worst storm I can remember in terms of how powerful it was.
  20. Anyone remember that game at Wrigely where he got hit and acted like he was dead? He was the guy who was terrified of lightning, wasn't he? Ran off the field of play like a little girl when that crazy lightning storm hit this past summer.
  21. Anyone remember that game at Wrigely where he got hit and acted like he was dead? Didn't it hit off his bat? I also have a vague memory of him laughing about it at 1B.
