  1. The NL Central is just sad this year.
  2. Soto taking second was a nice touch, too.
  3. Knock it off ! C'mon Fred it would be for the betterment of the team. Regardless of Miles' talent level, wishing death on a player is in really bad taste.
  4. Someone beat that kid within an inch of his life.
  5. My 15 year old can play second base better than Miles can,but he would struggle with the hitting part. :-)) I doubt he'd be much worse than Miles at the plate.
  6. I would have been upset if Fukudome collided with anyone. However, the other two...not so much so.
  7. Just release him for God's sake. He's not going to get any better and we have like eight billion guys in the farm system who can play 2B and hit better than him.
  8. It was a weird way of defending the team. He tried to say that the Cubs were not a team built for playing small ball, but it came off like he was saying the Cubs are so fundamentally unsound that they could never pull it off effectively.
  9. Lilly should have been running to 1B immediately, but that was a good bunt.
  10. The smiley face cooler was bizarre, yet quite amusing.
  11. Sam Fuld for the month of June: .415/.468/.585 with a 2/5 K/BB and a 5/0 SB/CS. Not too shabby.
  12. Yay! Being a GM is hard marbles Yeah, but you haven't spent your whole life playing the game so you don't know what you're talking about. I've also never been deeply involved in an international scandal involving skimming money off of prospects. Clearly, I am unqualified.

  14. i'm going to assume this is just speculation and is untrue, because if i knew it to be true, i might have to drive to chicago and personally strangle hendry. I remember it being speculation at the time. I don't think anyone ever confirmed it. However, what I do remember hearing is how Hendry passed up prospects for Izturis in that trade.
  15. That's giving Jacque a little too much credit - half the time he'd throw the ball so hard into the ground that it would just sorta stick there. Don't forget about his airmailing the catcher on occasion as well. Thank heavens he and Moises were never on this team at the same time.
  16. I wouldn't take any of it seriously.
