you don't need to come up with a reason to justify mistakes. all baseball teams make them and will make them, not just young ones. they play lots of games and attempt lots of things during those games. Not to mention, sure, that play led to 2 runs. But, you don't know that at the time. It was a dumb play, especially with the bottom of the order coming up. But, it was only magnified by the Markakis double. If we get out of it, then no harm, no foul. It was just [expletive] sequencing luck the whole inning. Two BS hits and then one bad pitch. The world doesn't end, and it doesn't make Bryant's decision the worst thing ever. It just baseball. yep it's just more of the narratives stuff Pitchers like Hendricks are more susceptible to sequencing luck. -
The only thing I don't like about Hendricks is he cannot miss bats to pitch out of jams whether he gets into those jams because of bad defense or bad luck or bad pitching. This leads to productive outs and runs that other pitchers with swing and miss stuff would at least have a puncher's chance at preventing. He's a good backend of the rotation piece but he will always give up runs in games even when it feels like he pitched well. I'm not watching this game so I can't really speak to it but this is how I feel about him in a general sense.

I don't ever want to see you list a score where the fewer runs are put first again. I don't care what you want Weird I didn't see you mention that Norris and Castellanos were going to take Lester yard. The premise of your "prediction" was Miggy and Kinsler having big nights. I referenced the 2 of the big names but also posted the link for a purpose. Lester is bad vs. The tigers. Selective reading is dangerous. Be careful if you sign some paperwork. You might overlook something Small sample size and confirmation bias can be dangerous too

If Ross wasn't Lester's pacifier I wouldn't hate his starts because he's a backup catcher but because of said pacifier status I despise his presence. I haven't pitched since college and I don't have shoes on and I could throw a fastball by him right now.

I don't ever want to be the guy that screams for someone to be banned because [expletive] it this is the internet. However, if you're not funny I guess I don't get the allure of coming to a Cubs board and constantly rambling on about how awful Kris Bryant is and how terrible this Cubs team really is or whatever the hell this schtick is this week. It's not funny and now it's not even relevant.

Actually this is stupid and wrong. Mike Trout is 0 for 6 against John Danks and that's good enough for a .000 average. There is literally no chance Trout gets a hit tonight unless it's off a reliever.

You have to be trolling at this point right? Not only do batter vs pitcher matchups not mean anything even with perceived "large" sample sizes but this sample is literally 7 at bats...
