  1. Keep this team together!!!!!
  2. Dbacks have made a couple nice plays.
  3. So Molina was picked as an all star since he had the next amount of votes then backs out because of an injury. His replacement was Navarez, so either Contreras declined or the swapped rules. My guess is Molina felt pressure from not deserving it and Contreras agreed to back out to get Navarez in.
  4. Robinson Chirinos has cemented himself as the best backup catcher this season!!
  5. Don’t worry, they already ILd him.
  6. Arrieta went out on a good note in 2017. This is pathetic.
  7. Gushue DFAd Cubs sign Chirinos. Here’s your backup catchers: Wolters 3-24 Higgins 1-23 Romine 1-9 Lobaton 0-11 but 2 big walks in that one game we lost Gushue 0-4
  8. 1st and 2nd 0 outs for the Cubs. 4 of the next 5 pitches were out of the zone. Inning over.
  9. Ortega turns a 4 or 5 pitch walk into an inning ending groundout.
  10. I read this before checking the score, checked the score, and it’s 2-2 Booo Bases were loaded with 1 out as well when it was 2-2.
  11. Backup Catcher Hit List: Wolters-3 Higgins-1 Romine-1 Lobaton-0
  12. Great job by the umps screwing the Cubs out of a likely win if Kimbrel pitched the 9th.
  13. Backup Catchers Romine 1-9 .111 Wolters 3-24 .125 Higgins 1-23 .043 Lobaton 0-3 .000 Total 5-59 .085
  14. Andy Dalton and Nick Foles get hurt in the preseason and the Bears will be dialing up Tyler Bray just so Fields doesn’t start week 1.
  15. 20 innings if I’m counting correctly. The Cubs only have 6 hits over that span too. Could be nothing (who starts a slump in the middle of a game while they opened it hitting well?) but with the Cubs offensive history of falling off a cliff I’m mildly concerned if it keeps up after this Mets series 5th through 8th is 4 1st through 8th is 8 1st through 6th is 6 4+8+6=18 You scared me, but you must’ve counted the 9th innings.
  16. Cubs haven’t scored an earned run since Joc Pederson’s homer in the 4th Saturday. 18 innings.
  17. Ones I saw mentioned were: Alzolay Baez Bryant Contreras Happ Hendricks Hoerner Kimbrel
  18. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Rizzo have a swing that looked like that.
  19. A couple dongs, a manufactured run, and a great team pitching performance. The 7th, 8th, and 9th is becoming automatic for the Cubs with a lead.
  20. 20 strikeouts, no hitter, or PJ Higgins home run. One of these will happen today.
