  1. Roast

    NFL Week 17

So does anyone else think Josh McDaniels is coming off like a giant tool in this whole Brandon Marshall benching? Not to say that Marshall has always been a choir boy, but if a player says he's too injured to play then why be such a prick about trying to force him back out there on the field. That whole "suck it up and play" think is one of the biggest problems in football, or hell - sports for that matter, as far as I'm concerned.
  2. Seriously? I can't think of one that "screwed" PSU. That penalty was BS, dude was trying to kill the clock. Should have been a delay of game on PSU. The last illegal motion penalty against PSU, that was obviously an offsides against LSU? Not that it mattered in the end, but it forced us to settle on a FG. One? Wow, what a screw job and I'm not sure it was an offsides. Games already been erased from the DVR so I can't check and don't remember what it looked like, but isn't it possible the DL just got a good jump. That penalty at the end was pure BS. Care to defend it on its merits? As a neutral voice in this (i dont give an f about either team) I think it was very clearly an offsides. The announcers even called it right when it happened and then had to backtrack on their words later. Not that announcers are always(ever) the best reference; but it looked clear to me.
  3. What an odd penalty. I mean, I get it. But I agree with the announcers that he wasn't really trying to do anything illegal, just breaking up the pile.
  4. That was such a cluster-F. None of the officials had a clue wtf was going on.
  5. According to Cot's, yes he does. http://mlbcontracts.blogspot.com/2005/01/chicago-cubs_112114177768677294.html

I can't wait for this scenario to happen. ESPN is going to find some way to make this come true. Honestly, that would be any networks wet dream of a match-up.
  7. Is Hendry aware that he's allowed to give outfielders contracts of less than 3 years? That said, $5 Mil a year doesn't really bother me. I just don't like the length. This feels like one of those things where we're going to be trying to trade him in a year or two and have to eat some of his contract to do so. That said, it's not that bad. Not that good either.
  8. Glanville has had a couple really good reads on the NYT now. Good for him.

  10. Thanks for single-handedly ending my fantasy season with that fumble, Boldin. DIAF.
  11. Oh, and I just had to quote this for funsies.
  12. Yep. Both Polamalu and Fitzgerald have had injury problems this year, now. Go Madden.
  13. Pretty much. They went 3-and-out the first time out but I think they turned it over every time after that. I think they may have had one other 3-and-out but I'm not sure. I remember the punt where Battle fair caught on the 18-yard line and I don't think that was the first drive. You may be right.

  16. What the hell, Warner!?
  17. Oh man. Ware looks like he's really hurt.
  18. What else would you want to see on a 60-yard 3d HD screen?
  19. And THAT was a very clear, audible, "what the [expletive]"
  20. STOP GOING TO COMMERCIAL EVERY DAMN TIME SOMEONE CALLS A THIRTY SECOND TIME OUT.
  21. Eh, I think it's more to prevent against the couple from making out in the front row. Or to the creepy old guy from getting a handy from his drunk wife mid-game.
  22. Yeah, that's totally the same thing.
  23. As he should have been. The refs re-set the play clock for seemingly no reason and that allowed the clock to run all the way down to the 2 minute warning rather than the packers having to run a play. Jim Harbaugh doesn't coach the Ravens. Leave me alone. I'm at least a 6-pack in right now. #-o
