    Which is why trading Wood or Zambrano for an elite OF bat, and then signing AJ Burnett is not too far off the beaten path strategy-wise. Execution-wise is a whole other ballgame. Do you think wood would actually waive his no trade clause?

    Every friggin negative thread turns into a Dusty Bust-a-thon. Christ. I thought we were talking about CP, Doobs and who will play CF for us? I sure don't want Hairston in there full time. Dusty bust a thon? Get off your dusty-loving high horse. How does his post have ANYTHING to do with busting dusty. Besides, I think dusty is quite realevent in this thread. We called up two minor leaguers, dusty has a history with young guys. Its a logical jump.

    The team "dusty buster" is really really annoying. I dont really think its that crazy of a notion that baker is going to be fired soon. Its probably pretty crazy to think he will be today, but soon, no, not that crazy.

    Interesting. I know its pretty much unfoudned, But i have a real strange feeling bakers days here are officially over. Dusty Busters have been saying that since last fall.... I'm sure it's right around the corner. :roll: Oh grow up. First of all, If dusty busters is a term used to describe people who are sick of the worst lineups immaginable and horrid in game moves, then sure, I'm a dusty buster. Secondly, how can you disagree that him being canned is right aroudn the corner, Even if it doesnt come today or tomorrow like i feel, Its gonna come soon.

    Hey roast, welcome to the confusion Haha, Where is hoops when we need him??? I dont particularly remember the Don Baylor Firing, mainly because I was over seas when it happened, and didnt get the news till like a week later. All i was able to see each day were the box scores. Anyways, At what time would we expect an announcment, if baker IS fired? What I mean is, Obviously we would need a manager for the game today. So, Would it be safe to assume, if we dont have an announcment by, say, five central time its not happening today? I know its kind of silly to just assume he's being fired today, or tomorrow. But I just have a feeling.

    Doh, I read the title, then voted yes. I didnt realize the question asked in the poll was will they play. Pfft. Anyways, this question really all depends on if dusty is still the manager of this team.

    Wow, So i wake up this morning, go do some work at the church, then come back and turn on the TV. I hear "Pattersona nd dubois sent to minors, Greenberg and Murton brought up" First thing that went through my head was "DUST GOT FIRED???" So I come on here, and still no dusty fired thread. Oh well, This is an interesting move, definatley. I'm not sure what to make of it though. Are we packing it in, and playing the youth? Is this a pre cursor to baker getting a pink slip? Pre Cursor to a trade? I dont know.

    Dusty knows he's getting fired soon. He is just letting it all hang out. I swear the day I wake up, turn on the computer and see a "Baker Fired" thread on NSBB, I am going to run around my apartment complex hooting and hollaring with joy. I know. I dont think i'll be able to contain myself.

    I would say, if you think keeping Dusty Baker is the answer, you're twice as delusional. Replacing Dusty is one of many answers. He's the wrong manager for the wrong team. I said it before he was hired and I haven't seen anything resembling evidence to the contrary. Let's see here, the team hits .213 with men on 3rd and less than 2 outs, yep it's the manager. This is becoming silly. He is setting them up for failure. Do you want to know why the team hits so low? Because baker continues to put the guys that suck it up out there. Look at the lineup he was going to run out there tonight. Macias batting over Hairston? Neifi leading off? You wonder why our offense is so horrid.

    Severe Tornado warning??? I've never heard of that. I thought there were only Severe thunderstorm watch, severe thunderstorm warning, and then tornado watches and warnings..... huh. Tornados are kinda severe by their very nature. I've never heard of a mild tornado. Thats what I was getting at.
