When voting in this poll, remember not only to decide which contract looks most appealing to you, but which contract you think giles/his agent will actually accept.

Pretty much. I haven't seen anyone go higher that $52m or lower than $32m, but most posts have been in the 44-42 range. Structure woould be more important than overall value, though, since a creatively constructed contract can make or break a signing. Alright, this is how i'm gonna do it then. I'll go set up a poll now to decide what size contract to give him, or at least narrow down the choices if nothing else. After we get a winner, we will decide how to structure the decided upon ammount.

It seems to me that the consensus is a 4/48 - 4/50 contract. The biggest disagreement seem to be on how to spread out the money. am i right?

Although I highly doubt MLB would do it, I was thinking the same thing. No, there is precedent, and the Angels GM and President should be on the phone with the leage raising holy hell right now. I cannot even immagine the words I'd be using if i was the GM/President of that team. Wow.

Can we reopen the shortstop discussion to include Arod? My only problem with that would be if we did that is that we made decisions after that of shortstop under the understanding nomar was the SS. I am affraid that might change what we would have done in other positions (well, left field).
