canceling games would be pointless. The only time I remember games being canceled (notice...I'm only drawing on 10 or so years of coherent memory..) was after the September 11 attacks. And that wasn't so we could pay respects to those who have passed, it was because as a country we felt that it was unsafe for large groups of people to be assembled in one place due to a fear that there may still have been more attacks planned. This is nothing like that. It was one crazed lowlife who went on a rampage. Play Ball.

It wasn't bad temperature wise, but i had the wind blowing right in my face most of the game which sucked. And yeah, the naperville team was about two sections to the right of me.

No kidding. I've dealt with a couple of tough ones so far this season. But, barring any unforeseen circumstances, I wont be at Wrigley again until june 14th against the mariners.

Did you ever hear Harry when he was alive? Pat isn't as disoriented as Harry was some days, but you haven't heard a baseball game called unless you heard it called by Harry Caray and Steve Stone. No, I didnt. At least, not that I remember. I watched Cubs games before 98...but it wasn't until 1998 and the HR Race that I really got into baseball. I wish I would have gotten to hear them.

I'm usually pretty sarcastic when I heckle refs/umps. For example, when an ump calls a strike at someones eyes, if there is a ball WAY outside (like..passed ball, wild pitch) within the next inning i'll throw out a "What's the matter, blue? Wasnt that a strike too?" However, most of the time I just go with a good old fashioned "What the , Blue!"..... ..That one got some airtime on opening day...

Pat is the best pbp guy i've ever heard (Note: I haven't heard a whole lot..but still, he's great) Ron and Pat make such a great combo. Ron is a total homer, and pat plays off it so well while still being able to be a level-headed announcer. I love pat! :lol:
