  1. Yeah, as much as I hate every time one of our players gets represented by him; he is the best at his job, no questions asked. And you have to admire that.
  2. The cubs are going to win this game. However, the brewers will probably win theirs too so it won't matter much.
  3. I'm gonna go head to the train station now and post my butt outside wrigley and hope for another free ticket (i've gotten them at the last two games consecutively).... And...i do have some extra money...but I realy shouldn't spend it...but...I may just buy a ticket. God this team is going to make me go broke.
  4. I know, seriously. If anyone wants to meet up at Knuckle's at the Hyatt near Mark thomas Drive and the coastal freeway, let me know. Anyone? Fine. Pat and Ron and gamethread it is. Jerks. They're like Sally Struthers eating cake in front of starving Africa babies. Funny you should mention ... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v483/cubbybear314/Random%20Cool%20Shit/311_sallys.jpg Hahahaha, that's awesome.

  6. Did you find it online? If so, I have to hear this.
  7. man he hit a home run now? awesome. Wow; I must have really been seeing things at the game...
  8. Yeah, so, I just realized I have Speech class at 9:00am tomorrow and I have to give a speech. Fantastic. Oh well, that game was totally worth losing my voice over. Im definitely going to this one too, as long as nothing comes up.
  9. It was Jaqcue throwing the helmet. He took his and DeRosa's helmet and just hurled them in the aird. It was great. And I agree, what an amazing atmosphere in the 9th. Best game I've been to probably ever. Definitely glad I decided to go. After I saw that ball get away from Hopper on Ramirez's line drive, I went absolutely nuts. I have no voice right now. My voice is extremely hoarse at this point. When I got home my roommate asked me "how was the game" and I couldnt make the word "incredible" all the way audible. And yeah, as soon as I saw that ball get by hopper i was jumping around like an idiot screaming "I DONT BELIEVE IT" at the top of my lungs.
  10. Those are great....are there any of the mob scene at home plate?...If there was one, I'm assuming there was. Actually, there really wasnt. there was a quick one, but everyone flew out and mobbed DeRosa.
  11. HOLY FREAKIN CRAP. That was by far the most amazing game I have EVER seen live. The atmosphere, right from the start of the game, was incredible. I was standing out-side the right field peep-hole for the first 5.5 innings, but sometime in the middle of the sixth some woman and her friend who were apparently leaving the game gave me and some guy next to me free bleacher tickets. And holy crap, the finish to that game was AMAZING. The most incredible finish ever. The best part was...i think it was ramirez, throwing his batting helmet about a mile in the sky. The place went INSANE. I was in left/leftcenter field about 20 rows up. The people around me...me...everyone; I'm so pumped right now it's most likely not healthy!
  12. Well, Roast is (aside from talking in third person now, apparently) heading out to wrigley to bum around outside right field now. GO CUBS!
  13. Thats a pretty shocking statement, but I just looked at some stats and...well....its a possibility. Capps is 17-19 in save opportunites; the rest of the team is 14-29 Thats fifteen blown saves. If Capps could have saved 13 of those... They'd lead the division by a game and a half. Now obviously, that's a lot of what if's...but its interesting to think about.
  14. Son of a..... What the hell, man. Brees - 9.7 points LDT - 2.9 points McAllister - .80 points Screw you guys. Brees and LDT were two of the highest scoring players in all of football last year and now they go and do this. Screw off :(
  15. I vote brand it. But you know as well as i do if they do that, Cooperstown will just turn the ball so that part is not showing in the display case. Thats why I think we should brand it, repeatedly. Cover the entire friggin thing in asterisks.
  16. Yeah, i've pretty much decided to go to this game tonight and just hang outside right field. hopefully someone awesome will come and give me a free ticket again; cause that was outstanding.
  17. I really love baseball reference.
  18. i really wish i had the extra money, cause i am free tonight.
  19. I'd go Z. I know he can have his terrible games, but when he's on, he's ON. I'd take the risk.
  20. I picked up a copy of the "Red Eye" today on my way back from class (mainly because it's free) and in the "Eye Contact" section there is an article with the title "Cuban Ready To Dance." Here are some excerpts: then it goes on to talk about him apparently being on the next season of dancing with the stars....Lame. But I found this amusing: Hahaha
  21. We've got a lead in the division and what should(Key word)be a cake-walk schedule the rest of the way. Oh yeah, and it's mid september. I think it's about time that we can start talking about this stuff. with a one game lead and a week of games against teams we haven't been able to beat much? Regardless; it's september 17 and we're in first place, it's time to think playoffs.
  22. hahaha, outstanding.

  24. In my opinion, this series is more important than the Cardinals series. We all knew that we could beat the cardinals; regardless of the fact that they're a better team than the Reds. But this series can do one of two things; it can either be a season-ender like 2004 or it can prove that we are going to play like the team we are and actually win this thing. I'm not optimistic.
