    i'm really shocked this game was as exciting as it was with one team getting zero offense. And maybe Bennett should try to pass the ball why, they averaged 7 YPC. Colorado springs is the team that didn't run a single play on offense. or punt. Damnit, you two; you're ruining it.

    They don't scare me. Poor pitching, and our hitting is much better than SDs. I really like our chances against them. Yeah, Colorado worries me less than any NL team, and the Cubs beat them pretty good this year. Yeah but right now they are white hot. Hopefully, if they advance to the NLCS, they can have a couple losses handed to them in the NLDS to cool them down a bit.

    So, yeah, is chicago going to be a mess on sunday or what. I'm totally not looking forward to it. With the marathon having streets shut down and the increase in visitors for the playoff game....it's going to be a MESS. So cubs, plz sweep so it's not so bad.

    Actually that would be an awesome idea. It was Jones that was wearing the goggles. If I were motivated enough, it would awesome to buy like 100 pairs of green goggles and hand them out to fans sitting near CF in the bleachers. I would be a nice sign to Jacque that fans have accepted him. Offtopic, but I think jacque certainly knows the fans have accepted him. The last couple games I was at he was playing center and they were having a great time with him; being very friendly. Hell, even I like the guy. Regardless of how sucky he can be, he always looks so damn happy, like he's having so much fun.

    According to MLB: Wed and Thurs: 10pm ET Sat: 6pm ET Sun: 1pm ET Tues: 10pm ET Beautiful! Although, This most likely means waking up around 9-10am on sunday so i can make it to eh ballpark and get a decent spot to stand. lame. Solution: Sweep the series so sunday doesn't matter

    Oh thank heaven. When it originally came out that we were going to play at 2 i was about ready to cause harm to some people. i can live with a 9pm start time.

    My mom works at a sports store. I told her to pick me up a division champ shirt; i didnt specify which one. I assume I won't see it till I go home next, though. And that's going to be close to a month. Hopefully she has a few more shirts when I go to pick those up too...

    Yeah, i'm not totally opposed to it. The sample size is minuscule but it fits in to what we already know; pitchers usually do worse on short rest. But, at the end of the day, I guess the question becomes "Who would you rather have. Z on 3 days rest or Marquis/Marshall/Trachsel fully rested." The choice is clearly Z, imo.

    I think he was also way pumped for his last home start, when his first inning involved 3 Ks in a grand total of about 90 seconds, so that at least presents the possibility that he can harness being overly pumped. Also, he'll be on the road for game one, so that could help too. Exactly. I think th days of Z getting overly pumped and losing his control because of it are starting to pass. He's gotten better at controlling himself out on the mound, and using his almost in-human amount of adrenaline to his advantage.
