  1. That would be really depressing if that happens I want this to happen. I've learned to hate the D'backs. Not only a sweep but, I'd like to see Mister Intensity Bug Eyes Valverde blow a save in the process - wonder how much he'll jump around under such circumstances. Yeah, I know it's probably illogical to hate him and yet love Zambrano as much as I do...but I really want this to happen.
  2. I'm not saying one way or the other but care to explain your side. DeRosa is better at....well....everything.
  3. Indeed; but I saw him after the game and he seemed surprisingly sober considering the situation.
  4. Hahaha, mark. That picture describes your state of being when I saw you just about perfectly.
  5. Yes, post the pictures, please.

Gun to the head? I'm going for the cyanide. I chose the jump-in-front-of-the-CTA-train method. Those things come into a station hella-fast.
  7. Holy crap, I dont' remember any of this... (I remember talking to Roast on the phone) The only part I remember is getting a girl's number at Slugger's for an interview for a job. I met you outside the bar and you may or may not have tried to sneak me and two of my friends in (to no avail, obviously). And you, sir, were sloshed  I forgot you aren't 21 yet - I was wondering how you met all those people without ever meeting me. No one told me you were out there or I may have been able to sneak you in the same way I snuck CT in. Had Mark been aware enough to realize I had accomplished this, he may have thought to enlist my help, but oh well. It's too bad too, it would have been cool to hang out. At least until the game started, anyway. Yeah, maybe next year.... ..... stupid cubs :x
  8. Rickey Henderson to return, and play for the cubs.

No, you had everyone playing, but you got a combined 1.15 points from the 3 WRs you started, so that pretty much did you in. Unless Romo goes insane, I'll be moving into 1st place on points after the week. Yeah, you're right. I was thinking about another one of my leagues in which I kept Chad Johnson in the starting spot. Hey, at least I didn't keep brees at QB to score 1 combined point for me again...that ass.
  13. Thi's threads' all kind's of awesome.
  14. I think Selig knows the potential of Cub fans throwing a huge revolt against him if Cuban is not given a fair shake. I just want him to have a fair and real chance. If he doesnt make the best offer I wont complain. How exactly would Cub fans carry out a revolt against the commissioner of baseball? blow his house up? im in i knew i could count on you Is this before or after the heroin to the forehead? Wrong poster. Treeman, not IMB, is the master of injecting heroin into ones forehead. However, I'm sure IMB is skilled as well.
  15. As would I. God Cuban would be awesome.

I lost again; surprise surprise. I'm pretty sure I left someone starting that had a bye week; but I was too busy being pissed at the cubs to really care about the league this week; thus a loss is expected.
  17. I didn't see; but I would cry too if I was taken out of a game that I was pitching masterfully in, in order to be saved for a game that never even occurred because my team went on to get swept. That had to be a frustrating series for the entire team; especially him.
  18. The cubs have never won the NLCS....(when they last went to th world series I don't believe there WAS an NLCS)
  19. I slept for about 12 hours; I feel much better. In a kind of disconnected from my feelings for this team type of way. I know I should be really pissed right now; but I'm not. I'm just laid back and at the moment I don't care a whole lot. But, I have a feeling this is going to be a LONG winter.
  20. God I love Mark DeRosa. The funny part is; he's a true Cubs. Predictable. I knew as soon as he grounded into that double play (and I stopped screaming obscenities) that something like this would show up on his blog. He's just a class individual.
  21. Oh, and also a perk from tonight: I met Mark_R, CT, and Vance! Hooray NSBB. Oh, and incase any of you wondered; Mark is hilarious drunk.
  22. Meh. I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be. I'm pissed on some level, but I still say that after game two I have never been more pissed than that in my entire life. I knew tonight was going to happen like this -- as much as I tried to tell myself otherwise -- so it doesn't really shock me and I'm not as upset as you think I'd be. Whatever, I'll enjoy the time off this winter. I'm going to try to stay away from the Cubs in every facet until after the playoffs when I can start to cool off. Then I can come back with a level headed approach to how I'm going to make myself believe next year will be any different.
  23. Plz keep the ball down OPR Also, I CANT WAIT TO GET OUT THERE. THis will most likely be my only post until after the game...so...dont suck cubs. plz. At least let me enjoy one playoff victory this year. and for the love of god dont let that craptastic team celebrate a victory in our park. Ugh. GO SOAPDROPERS GO
