    Dempster went: 5.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 K The Cubs only have 4 hits on the day. 2 from Theriot (including a triple), 1 from Ramirez, and 1 from Blanco. The other Cubs highlight is that Fukudome threw out a runner at home. The offense is getting scary. Looks like the Cubs are in midseason form already. Were we facing a junkballing lefty? Is junk balling similar to skyballing?

    The way they have it set up now, they play over there, then get back to the states with a week to transition back, and then start up again with real games. Silly would be expecting these teams to spend a week in Japan, play on the 31st, and then a day or two later be playing again 12 time zones away. you have your view and i have mine You are seriously that out of touch with reality? Play on the 31st, flay around the globe, and play a fresh team 2 days later. Wow. going to california to play a series wouldn't be that hard...but yes...i suppose i am out of touch with reality...wow...thanks for the insight! :thumbsup: Yeah, and there's not a FOURTEEN hour time difference to california either.

    I am not disappointed at all by this. He's been hitting well in spring training - but I'm pretty sure he still sucks.

    I like this. I assume it's just for back-up purposes like others have alluded to. We currently have no back up centerfielder however with both Soriano and possibly Fukudome being able to play center, it may lessen our need for one. At least enough that we aren't going to trade the farm for someone like Crisp.

    Less than a week ago he had doctors messing, cutting, and un-twisting one of his nuts. I'd be scared of everything too. Give him a couple days to get back into life and forget about what had to be a mentally scarring experience before judging. At least I am.
