Same as ... The Metallica party The AC/DC party The Pantera party ... and on and on. I wouldn't go to any of those parties. I wouldnt either and i like those bands. Life is good when im listening to Zep. Im inclined to have more fun (and probably drink more, stay out later, etc etc.) listeng to LZ than the Beatles.

Its really pretty simple. If i had a choose between 2 parties and one place was playing Zep in the background and the other was the Beatles, I would go to the Zep party everytime.

Say what you want about last year, but over his career he is a model of consitancy and almost every AD in the nation would love to have their football program 'underachieve' so much. "Breakfast with the Beatles" was (is?) a 3 or 4 hour weekly radio program that was dedicated to their songs, their outtakes and alternate takes, other musicians covering their songs, etc. I wouldn't doubt if there were other shows like that throughout the country. Not to mention events such as Beatlefest which celebrate the Beatles. Metallica was my favorite band for several years, I had every album until St. Anger, Master of Puppets and Fade To Black are two of my favorite songs, and I still enjoy listening to them. That said, in my opinion The Beatles are hands-down the better band. Obviously, though, the two bands are quite different and likely attract quite a different fanbase. "Breakfast with the Beatles is still a weekly regular on XRT... a Chicago station that spent an entire broadcast day playing U2's "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" non-stop prior to its release..... Greatness isn't measured in decibels. Thats a good thing otherwise Spinal Tap would rule the world. Their amps went to eleven. One louder.

I prefer Pink to Queen. I really never get to excited about Queen. I dont think they suck im just luke warm on them. My wife said Floyd was the best concert she has ever gone too, so also for her im casting this vote.

I love Battery. Such a great song to open such a kick ass album. The accoustic guitar opening followed by the steamrolling pure metal madness. And it works brilliantly. Awesome. Orion flat out kicks it. I cant think of too many songs that last 8 minutes without lyrics i would rather listen too. Cliff Burton on the bass totally rocks that song out.

I too think Guzman is more appt conparison. Omar had better ISoD in the minors than Iz so i would look at that as an another indicator as why it might be a reach for him to perform like Omar in MLB. If you want to compare this Cub move to another Cub move i would compare it more towards the 3 year deal to Alez Gonzalez. Iz is Alez without the pop and the ks. At least with this one they didnt commit 3 years. Only and year and half.....yeah i know, glass half full. The BABIP stat is interesting if it is low for Iz, especially the LD% part. Also it looks like in roughly 100 AB this year Iz actually has more BB than Ks. This is a good trend, albeit small, but still noteworthy to me.

Not as much as the Beatles or Led Zeppelin... I don't know what your thoughts are, I'm just putting it out there. You must be joking. If Cliff Burton-era Metallica can be called over-rated, than so can the Beatles and Zeppelin. I'll agree 90's and later Metallica is nothing special, but the first Metallica 3 records are as much masterpieces as any Zep or Beatles recordings. Uhh, sorry, but no. Nothing Metallica has ever done can compare to Revolver or Rubber Soul in the "masterpiece" category. For that matter, nothing they've done can compare to Sgt. Pepper, The White Album, Abbey Road... well if you need to be picky, I'd say that Master of Puppets is the best heavy metal record ever made. If you don't want to put it up with beatles stuff, fine, but it's definitely one of the best records ever made I'm on your side Derwood, but ...And Justice For All was absolutely unbelievable musically. 9 songs and 63 minutes of pure awesomeness. I understand the argument that they went too far with AJFA but I absolutely love that album. IMO opinion it's not significantly better than Master of Puppets and I will gladly listen to either any day, but I think AJFA is a bit better. ...and justice would be closer in my eyes if the album didn't sound like crap. the songs are superb, but it's a bad recording. the lack of (or really turned down) bass hurts it also. Yeah what bass. I thought they did it to be jerks to Newsted. I know it pissed him off you could barely hear it. And yes.....Masters of Puppets is a MASTERPIECE. Sanitarium people.

Absolutely, that double disc live Zep concert DVD is just SICK SICK SICK. If i coud go back in time but only 5 times, going to a Led Zep concert would be in that top 5.
