  1. Chicago has got to have some of the laziest baseball journalists in the country, Bruce Miles excluded. I feel bad for Miles. You know he probably wants to call them out for being complete idiots, but the whole "beat writer" fraternity thing, has to place nice and what not. I think Muscat has become my second favorite after Miles only because she doesn't really say anything at all. Just tweets and writes PR stuff. GDubCub has easily trolled himself to a Sullivan level and maybe even worse.
  2. He's an absolute bafoon. Last week he was on the radio insisting Rizzo wasn't having a good year citing batting average.
  3. When Garza comes back and assuming Villlanueva gets moved to the pen, that's another nice option.
  4. And 1/3 as good  Rizzo is on pace for 4.8 wins this season, so let me know when Votto puts up that 14WAR season.

  6. If we play the Sharks and we have the series in hand, I hope Carbomb levels Torres
  7. That woman is a C U @ Noon Tomorrow.
  8. First off, Whitlock's reputation precedes himself. Secondly the article is full of pointless race baiting. Thirdly, how else, can you defend Derrick Rose, when you were the same guy that dumped all over Jay Cutler for not returning TO THE SAME GAME, after a knee injury. It's screams of stupidity, hypocrisy, and it Whitlocks case, yes racism.
  9. Jason Whitlock with an article defending Rose with plenty of race baiting http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/derrick-rose-bashers-must-question-chicago-bulls-coach-staff-doctors-jason-whitlock-analysis-050813 Whitlock, the same dude that [expletive] all over Jay Cutler a couple of years ago over an injury. Dude is such a hypocrite and a racist it's not even funny.
  10. This is sarcasm, right? Not at all. how great is it to join in chorus with the greatest singer/songwriter of the 20th century.
  11. Or Wade to continue to deteriorate.(crosses fingers)
  12. Lebrons not coming hear. Let's not do that dance again. Think Kevin Love, though Khan getting fired almost kills that chance too.
  13. Over the top means a player that gets them a championship. Nate doesn't do that. If the player or deal comes along that would, I think Reinsdorf would go into luxury tax territory. But he's not spending that to lose to the Heat. Doesn't get them a championship? With Rose and Thibs they already have a shot at the title. The goal every year should be to build the best possible team to contend using every possible resource available. If that means Nate Robinson, or some other player, so be it. Whoa whoa...lets not pretend that the win last night makes the Bulls title contenders. The odds are still hugely against that happening. Even if they beat the Heat in this series...that's a team whose number they've had for some reason. But Indiana beat the Bulls 3 out of 4 this season, and I can't remember the last time the Bulls have had any success against the Thunder. This team has been more than I imagined they could be, but lets not get crazy. I said a "healthy" Rose and Thibs makes this team title contenders. There is no reason if Rose comes back, in pre-injury form, next year that this team can't compete for a title.
  14. A player that would make the Bulls favorites to win would have to be another top 5 caliber player in the league. Let me know when another one of those has the potential to walk in the door. THat's just stupid thinking.
  15. By rule, he did have the right. But considering he was already there, and other circumstances, it was pretty ridiculous of him to actually leverage that right.
  16. I think he's said that he'll exceed that threshold for a winner. If they take the Heat to 6 or 7 or somehow find a way to advance, that could be a factor They've been about the same level for three years now (admittedly, I can somewhat see the point of not going over the threshold this season). His work with the White Sox and MLB CBA is just another indication that he does not care to spend much on his teams. I don't believe Reinsdorf. The Bulls are over the threshold this year, and unless they amnesty Boozer or trade Deng to a team under the cap they will be again next year. What if they buyout RIP?

  18. Ian didn't feel up to playing this weekend, to be exact http://www.bleachernation.com/2013/05/07/ian-stewart-decided-not-to-play-baseball-this-weekend/comment-page-1/#comment-294124
  19. Also, with a healthy Derrick Rose and Thibs, I think it's clear that this team is always a contender. So I really hate that caveat by Reinsdorf that he will only pay the tax if it puts the Bulls over the top.
  20. You keep manipulating this '15 mil a year' figure for your argument. The contract was 25 million for 3 years. The first two years were at 5 million and then it was a poison pill like back loaded final year at 15 million. If you want to argue that the final year could have put the Bulls in a difficult cap situation that year, fine, but to just say "he's not worth 15 million a year" is false and misleading.
  21. Omer Asik was most certainly worth 25 million over 3 years to the Bulls.
  22. Ian, being Ian... http://www.bleachernation.com/2013/05/07/ian-stewart-decided-not-to-play-baseball-this-weekend/comment-page-1/#comment-294114
  23. Asik is an elite defender. He displayed elite defender characteristics as a back up for the Bulls and also displayed those as a starter for the Rockets. There was no mirage of his play based on playing time. I have no idea what the [expletive] you are babbling about.
  24. Nate is one of the best backup point guards in the NBA. Asik was the best backup center and looked good when Noah was out, but don't overrate the value of a backup when he gets extra minutes. And Asik went on to Houston and excelled in a starters role as well. I really don't get your point.
