  1. I'm disgusted with them for signing him in the first place.
  2. Arthur Brown in the 3rd really is not realistic.
  3. Thanks David. Saw it on my phone on my way in this morning. Can this season get any worse?
  4. Well, if you want more depressing, Garza's rehab start @ Tennessee has been scratched due to "dead arm"
  5. The 'by cracky' has been replaced by a trombone sound.

  7. No he doesn't. He drops his hands as part of his pre-load, but when the ball is released by the pitcher, they are in the proper location. He has a very efficient track to the ball in relation to his stance. Nope. Dynamic counter....
  8. Huh? Is the field just really [expletive] at Kane County or did the burbs get pounded with rain overnight? They are just about to get pounded all day. That's what she said!
  9. Hey, how about RIP and his DNP CD last night?! Thanks again GarPax, solid move.
  10. A loss tonight could vault us into 2nd place in the fecal league standings! How does the 2014 draft look?
  11. Last year, Rizzo's defensive stats were outstanding, and Castro was very good. Maybe we should put the manager in the corner for poor player development instruction at the big league level. Maybe the team president should have a "timeout" too for a poorly constructed roster that can't overcome a few fielding mistakes here and there.
  12. on the subject of Rizzo, nice write up by Brett http://www.bleachernation.com/2013/04/22/forget-what-youve-heard-anthony-rizzo-has-been-great-this-year/

  14. Yeah, they must feel horrible with their measly 2 top-100 prospects when they could have Garza on their DL instead. Garza has been worth 5.9 wins since joining the Cubs and could have netted a haul in another trade if he didn't land up on the DL. Whether or not the Cubs decide to keep him, or flip him again this summer, I think it's safe to say, the Cubs easily won the trade.
  15. Different front office for the Cubs, but Tampa might have hard feelings after we fleeced them over big time in the Garza trade.
  16. That would be silly if they wiped both off their first round board altogether.
  17. I'd play, I don't think the heavy stuff's going to come down for some time.
  18. With the big young bats coming off the market the past few years(Votto, Adam Jones) the pickings are really slim in terms of position players under 30, so the Cubs may not have many options to build an offensive powerhouse via free agency(no matter how much $$ they can throw at it)and trades. They may want to focus on building a dominant rotation with Price/Shark, possibly Appell(draft) and Garza if they hold on to him.
  19. Factoring in his glove I think Borbon is a clear upgrade over both Sappelt and Sweeney. I'd like to see the Cubs put in a claim if he makes it to them in waivers.
  20. Can wait to see how the Cub's offense manages to get mowed down against this nobody.
