Yep, the Mets GM at the time has gone on record saying they were comfortable trading him because they didn't think he'd ever hit enough.
  2. Tangled Up in Plaid
That might be the first 98 he's had since he came back
  3. Tangled Up in Plaid
He definitely passes the eye test. No giant leg kick either
  4. Tangled Up in Plaid
They always seem to play like horsefeathers on national TV as well.
  5. Tangled Up in Plaid
    He's playing 1B tonight

Pete might have had a real shot at Babe Ruth's single-season fWAR record (14.7) if he hadn't been so ass with the bat the first two months.

Put him on the 150 team
  13. Tangled Up in Plaid
He thinks he can make contact with everything. It really holds him back

  15. Tangled Up in Plaid
    Perfect jinx
  16. Tangled Up in Plaid
    Pinch hit for Kelly
  17. Tangled Up in Plaid
I'm pretty sure he's said he doesn't like coming back because of his past issues with drinking and probably philandering
  18. Tangled Up in Plaid
Can someone on our pitching staff throw one clean horsefeathers inning? This is truly horrendous
  19. Tangled Up in Plaid
    Have to cash this in
  20. Tangled Up in Plaid
Phillies hit a grand slam in the 9th against the Angels and won. Only 1 game back now. horsefeathers hell.
  21. Tangled Up in Plaid
Yes, that was the big concern going into the draft
  22. Tangled Up in Plaid
Thank the lord for this dude
  23. Tangled Up in Plaid
I went back and listened, someone asked him about a report mid-game that Rea was going to be DFA'd, and Counsell said that was not accurate and he couldn't comment anymore than that.
  24. Tangled Up in Plaid
They're gonna blow away that record. I'd say at least 133
