    Good news, I guess, but partly bad too. I'd hoped there was something else going on, that he was too old for the league or something. This would seem to confirm that he's been not playing because he's been injured. Hmm, I don't think it confirms anything at all. Their number one priority has been to get him to the United States. He could have just been throwing pen sessions for all we know.

    Pugliese had decent peripherals last year in Boise. Hoping he dominates and gets bumped up. Pretty sure I remember reports of him being a low to mid 90's guy.

    I honestly don't think it's a 100% race thing. Part of it is just the perception of him from everyone on the outside looking in. They see error totals of his previous seasons, the whole Sunday Night Baseball incident with Bobby Valentine, and they think they can have a free pass to rip him for anything that looks remotely out of the ordinary. Plus, the guy that does PBP from the Mets is a huge douchebag.

    Mine was Jeffrey Baez. Was surprised he didn't make it to Boise's opening day roster. Anyway, all the guys Raisin mentioned, and maybe the Mormon kid they drafted if he ends up there.

    You don't promote a guy just because he has a crazy 2 or 3 week stretch (Unless you're Jim Hendry/Oneri Fleita).

    I can still remember Scumbag Steve Philips with his breakdown on why the Dodgers were able to sweep the Cubs because of lack of good left-handed hitters.
