    Christian Villanueva is ripping things up in Mexico this winter. He might be a good backup option at 1B and 3B next year. He is also out of options.

    According to AZ Phil's latest roster posting, Pena, Batista, and Starling Peralta all signed futures contracts on 11/6/15.

    According to AZ Phil, Willson Contreras,Frank Batista, Jeimer Candelario, Logan Watkins, and Jose Rosario have agreed to Futures contracts for next season. They will still be eligible for the Rule 55 draft if they are not put on the major league roster by Nov. 20.

    I saw Jake Hannemann play on Thursday at the Quad Cities. The dude can fly. He has got to be the fastest player in the Cubs system. He is a player to keep in mind.
